Jus back from Cairo, Egypt for a short trip.

Surprise to see so many Lancer GLS on the road of Cairo and Alexandria ! The frequency of seeing them on the road is definitely much greater than our GT in Mal.

I even came acrossed a showroom and found no less than 10 GLS waiting for buyer there !

Mitsubishi really opening a big market there in Egypt and perhaps other countries as well.
I guess they produce more GLS to supply the world demand and allocate much lesser production line for GT. Wat do u think ?

I wonder what GLS means ? GLS = Global Lancer Spec. ?

The GLS there is jus like wat we have here but with sunroof and rear wing. No paddle shift, so I wonder it is 1.5 or 2.0 model. At 1st glance I tot it was a GT !

Jus to share some photos I got from there being a Lancer hunter everyday on the street 

Wow! good hunt ! I like the blue GLS they have there...
Anyway, be careful when taking pictures on the street there. They are more alert of camera :)

I feel somehow the Lancer does not suit the environment there ?
freddie
that blue is nice! even better with dark tint.

that silver one i think is 1.5, somehow its tyre width is not as wide as ours...
Twister
Ya the blue one is quite unique and u can get this color in US as well.

The elegant Lancer is a bit too high profile for the dusty environment there... bcoz imagine tat no matter wat car u hv, all cover by dust... blush.gif

Haha Cairo is ok... ppl are ok with camera eventho. woman. Not like other ME countries.

I think all of these EX/GLS are 1.5 bcoz if it is 2.0, u might not see so many on the road cool.gif

I think u sud get one there if the price is affordable... but better chk all the procedure n fees tat u need to pay... otherwise it might cost u another GT to bring in rolleyes.gif

Freddie pointed out one major issue: left hand drive !!

Mayb u bring in the engine n the SST will be cheaper thumbsup.gif

it looks like the fastkey enabled model (fully keyless entry and keyless start / go) button.
Prefer the cleaner look of the remote enabled model....

yeah everytime u drive to toll plaza or ticket machine u have to clim to passenger side to take :) rolf.gif

EVO X for weekend drive only not so much problem with left-hand drive la. But, I know this can be converted with some money (daskbaord, steering...etc).

Don't forget you need to pay cash (US30,000++) to bring it back :)
