But I don't like to do things twice whenever possible. If i were to put a poll now and yes, we might be getting a rough idea on which items are the most popular among the club members. But when you come to think of it, how many of them are genuine buyers and how many are not?
Well -- and the following should not be interpreted as disrespectful to LGTC members -- how do you know if any of the LGTC members that indicated their interest are (1) genuine buyers; OR (2) genuinely interested?
There's a difference between the two.
Don't forget another thing; human beings are prone to changing their minds for whatever the reason and just on the whim. I may say I am interested in the scuff plates (and I can say I can "genuinely afford" it) but if I pull out last minute for reasons I do not think anyone here needs to know, what happens then?

Let's say we have gotten the club discount from lube.oil, then again we have to put up another list to see how many genuine members are interested in getting it. Isn't it a waste of time? I personally think that what I'm doing now will give lube.oil an exact figure on the number of interested buyers for certain products so that he can work out the best deal for all of us. Don't you think so?
Btw, this is my working style and please accept my apologies if it doesn't match yours.
Don't apologize; I understand what u mean. It is never easy but I suggest that admins here must just keep a closer watch on such potential/eventual "bulk purchase" threads that benefit LGTC members. It's hard, I know. But referring to my above para response, there is never any guarantee.
In response to terion's comment in this spilt thread: There is no need for any supplier to know which specific/individual LGTC member is interested in any of their products; they just want the number. IMVHO, I think it is down to LGTC to govern this, be the middle man so to speak. Yah, more work :)
