Have added a portal to our forum, so the main url of the site will now point to the portal instead of the forum. Click on home to check it out.

Will still be doing some fine tuning so expect some changes in the future...

I like the layout, design and especially type of content but I'm not too sure if homepage should have same color scheme as forum... dunno, just my personal opinion...

Please take this as nothing more than hopefully constructive suggestion. The following are my opinions based on visiting http://www.lancergtclub.com URL.

1) Lose the opening video home page at www.lancergtclub.com . Make home page as per the "Home" button as exists now.
2) Put the opening video in a much reduced/bandwidth-friendly size somewhere on home page. I suggest left nav table, above and therefore pushing down the current Navigation table (which can give you an idea of size of the video). Make video linkable to larger video.
3) Effect would be :
(a) Being an enthusiasts club/website, I think most folks want info straight-away instead of the PR-like video when visiting this site. Current landing site URL much more like car manufacturer/dealer. Dunno about you guys but I generally dislike homepages (or search results) that gives me a video page before proceeding to what I'm really after.
(b) Video is actually pretty cool and if a smaller/bandwidth-friendly version can be added to a content-first-flashy-second landing site it may add some spice to an otherwise drab mainly-text-based home page.

Remember, just my observations, opinions and suggestions, dun scold me ya

besides there is a skip link just below the video for those like u to go straight into the portal.

Ben, it's not the time factor but a combi of the annoyance factor and the nature of this site. This is from my personal experience, of course; for an enthusiast website, function should rule over form, less flash, more bang/info, as quickly as possible.

A lot of us here are used to this place, having been such a Malaysian-only community for so long. I don't know if you can be certain of the reactions if this weren't the case...

Again, just my opinion.

I oso get what you mean, hehe, but what I'm trying to get across is that the video is showcasing the Lancer, not the club; I would think the club would be the priority, not the car.... I dunno... maybe that's ur intention anyways (which would render my POV moot).

haha u got a point there, maybe we need to do a new refresh video, since at that time it was all about the lancer, now its more about the people...
