I think bcoz EG9 hav "wah wah" factor b4 same as LGT. Ramai yg satu kepala.
Xterkejut if one day (next 5 year) kalau ramai LGT owner buy same other car (depend kereta apa yg best in future).

Feel the need to contribute here -

First my story/history of cars;

1. Toyota Corona 2.0 Twin Cam - Inherited this car from my parents when they got their spanking brand new Volvo 850 :D try guessing how long ago this was.

Loved that car, 1st car when I first got my license, good power and decent handling (a bit on the soft side tho, but d*mn comfortable).

Crashed it near KJ more than 10 years ago (time really flies). Was heartbroken, and altho repairable, my Dad didn't want to and we wrote it off ;(

2. After the crash, took my Dad's Volvo 240 Turbo - pretty old car, can still see them on the roads (more commonly known as Volvo 244 GL) but mine was black, with rubber duck tail and TURBO! (foooyoh) powerful engine, but super heavy car. Felt really safe driving it tho it sounded like a dinasour with constipation when reving.

Took me 6 months of driving it before i realized it had an OD 5th gear HAHAH.

3. Proton Saga/Iswara 1.5 - Almost crashed it on the first day I got it, because I wasn't used to the soft chasis and suspension. It was super floaty compared to Wira and Satria at that time.

Just a regular family car which got me to Uni and back, grateful enough to have something to travel around in, and I took pretty good care of it, even though I was sharing it with my siblings.

Used it during my 1st year of work, but didn't pay for it since it was paid fully already. But since I was using it most, I took care of the maintenance.

4. Proton Wira 1.5 - Needed a car of my own , so I opt for a Wira based on my experience drivng my friends one.

Reason I wanted a Wira - comfortable enough for daily basis, definitely better chassis then Saga, Need very very good air con, and of course, low maintenance and good fuel consumption. I opted for a manual tranny for better power and fuel consumption.

I was utterly dissappointed.

Handling was better than the Saga, however everything was just wrong with the car. It doesnt even feel like a normal Wira. Power and responsiveness was poor. Air con was not functionaning properly.

Over the years of trying to fix the problems, different workshop and mechanics, nothing helped. It didn't even feel stable for a Wira. I tried to find comfort my going into ICE sound system, and spent about 6-7k. Added to my "maintenance" LOL

Ended up maintenance high. Only thing good was FC - full tank can go 500km plus average.

I drove it for 5 years. We shared some good times and bad times. Although I loved it as "my first car", I made a vow...never to get another Proton for as long as I can afford. No offense to Proton car owners ok, I think generally good, but QC a bit horrible and I was one of the unlucky ones.

5. Mitsubishi Lancer 2008 - I've sort of always been a fan of Mitsu's Evo's especially when the Evo 4 first came out. However, the regular Lancers are quite plain looking, but still nicer than Wira's lar hahaha.

I thought the FD was nice looking, but the moment I caught a glimpse of the LancerGT, I fell in love with it instantly. It looks even better than the previous Evos! my own opinion lah, pls don't flame/bomb me.

Test drove, still loved the looks, the color, the shape, the Rims, almost everything! Even the plasticky dashboard! The only thing that bothered me a bit during the test drive was the road noise and the discomfort. (coming from 13inch rims with big a** profile tires...GT is quite harsh lor honestly. and unfortunately...comparing to FD as well)

but couldn't take my mind off the Lancer, so I got the GLS with softer suspension, but I wanted the GT looks, so got GT spoiler and Rims on the side. Yes I know. Silly. Pls dont laugh. I know can get better aftermarket stuff. Enough.

Anyway, cut to the chase - the only mod I did so far is Autofoam (always looking for comfort!) and with that I end this with a quote from my friend who is always talking how great the FD is in terms of looks comfort performance yadayada -

Drove 3 friends up and down Genting yesterday to test power a bit, including the Civic fanboy and he sort of mumbled this...

"Maybe I should get this car...."

Yeah my 1st ride was The Hyundai Getz year of 2006,is the getzclub member and getzzone club member too,that times i just finish my SPM and starting come out for work so the car was totally sponsor from my father the reason i choose lancer gt because it almost look like the evo 10,i really admire evo car starting from first generation.and in Jackie chan movie u can seen many evo car too haha. not enough money to buy real evo but the gt is very good enough i love it!

1st car : Proton Saga (kereta kebal edition) : 2005 - 2007
- what can I say .. just after graduate ... need a car to mobilize myself from KL - Kerteh - Perak - Johor ......... so this one only i can afford at that time
- what need u guys to know eh .... Proton saga ....... i think u can expect my bad experience with proton .. but at that time .. i am grateful enough to have a car that i can round almost every state at our peninsular .. heheh
- the car was finally sold as my brother continue using it until last month ... and then traded in with another versions of saga .. blm one .. hehehe ...

2nd car : Gen 2. 2007 - 2009
- Hmmm .. i think i was using this car kaw2 .. at the moment ive sold the car ... the mileage was 250 K over ... hahaha ...
- ok lar .... the car does give me a good driving experience ... mostly on a long distance driving .... but the moment ive told maself to sell this car .. he start to give me a headache la .. almost every month have to spend extra 2 - 3 hundred just for the maintenance and repair .. haish ....


3rd car : LGT 2009 - present.
- I love this car a lot ......... tats all .... all d +ve things about this car .. i believe has been described earlier by other members in this post .. hehee .. at the moment . enjoying my time to max wit the car ...

4. 2001, new Waja (1st batch) - replaced my satria
5. 2003, 2nd wira converted to 4G91 (1.5 Doch) - replaced my aeroback, upgraded to EvoIII heart after been bakar by frens.
6.2004 to present, Wish 1.8 CBU - replaced my quite problem waja (1st batch maa..wat to do, still developing process) Only cosmetic upgraded, changed color twice (black-Red-white).
7.2005, Myvi 1.0 - replaced my wiralution tat sold to my new japanese boss after he tapau his fren's Ori EvoV wif my car during friendly drag test..hehehe
8. 2008 to present, LGLS - replaced my beloved MyVi wif custom turbo kit (BOT after 4 months old, cant tahan from EvoIII suddenly 1.0...but lagi cant tahan my ear everyday wif my B1N1 keep cursing tat car sound like motoboat..haiya..
But anyway, so far satisfy wif Lancer...dunno future lo

i used to drive a proton gen2 1.6 full spec...
handling, power, size, exterior, interior... are totally a different level
but 1 thing i really love in my gen2 but not available in my GT right now...
it's an autocruise... d*mn...
but now i already join group buy... hahaha

My very first car :-

2008 -2010 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0, My first car after i get my P's ... first day when i go retrieved my car RIM got scratch ahhahaahha most memorable memories ^^ love my car still ~~~~

My alternative car to drive, my dad brought it cause got staff purchase ^^

2009-2010 Facelifted Toyota Camry 2.0, d*mn comfortable till i dont know how to drive ... no vroom vroom sound do i stick back to lancer hahahah
