Just watched Evangelion 1.0 today. It looks like its just a feature length remake of the first 6 episodes of the highly acclaimed series. I was hoping the movie would add more info to the Evangelion universe since the last two movies, "End of Evangelion" and "Death & Rebirth". A little disappointing but the updated special effects and 'missing' scenes are nice too. But other than that nothing new...

i like it. especially the new effects... although how they reworked the angel numbering is... where the hell is angel no. 3? and does that look like *bleep* on the moon?

i have never watched the original series but i can tell the movie was moving at a very fast pace... and if ur new to the story u'll probably find urself wondering about a lot of stuff left unexplained...

Ya. Those aren't bad. I especially liked the new effects and animated interpretations of Ramiel the 5th Angle.



If you watched the original you probably wouldn't be any more enlightened. The series can be quite cryptic but taken at face value it is still very entertaining. Of course the movie will be faster paced after all it is just a condensation of the series with a number of tweaks to make it flow better in a feature length movie.

Lets see what Gainax is going to come up with in Evangelion 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0...

eh, can't fit ka? sure ke bro? how big is the file? the one i'm downloading is only 1.43GB, sure can fit to dvd-r.. if can fit to dvd-r, how do u copy it? HD-dvd ka blue ray? if one of those, got to forget the idea coz i don't have player to support any of those formats..

Ya definately. So far Evangelion 1.0 has only covered the first 6 episodes? Another 18 episodes to go. Plus the ending the of Evangelion 1.0 featured a sneak peak of the 15th Angel, Tabris talking to Seele. Lets see what happens next...
