It was an early morning on August 2nd 2008 for 6 Lancers (alxand, desmond, bwtc, deralz, nits and koonx) as they met at Petronas on the Sprint Hway at 7:30 am. MLOC members slowly trickled in one by one and we left at about 9am with 7 MLOC cars. Greenapple joined the convoy at the Bidor toll and had breakfast at Bidor town. Soon after, as the convoy headed to Kg Gajah, they stopped by Teluk Intan as an Evo7 had a cracked radiator and needed fixing. As that was being fixed, the rest of the convoy (ryans joined the convoy at this juncture) continued their journey to Kg Gajah.

At Kg Gajah, flyGT joined the members at the track. Those hitting the track didn't waste any time and hit the track immediately after a quick briefing by Huang (instructor/marshall). There were Beemers, Evos, a Civic and of course 9th Gen Lancers. The drivers were led through some test runs, followed by a photo session. In no time, it's back to the track again for rounds of screeching rubber, body rolls and full throttle! The track experience was indeed sheer adrenaline rush for all the drivers. After 5 hrs on the track, the drivers looked all worn out and concluded their first experience as a race car driver.

After checking-in at the Pasir Salak Resort and freshening up, MLOC and LGTC convoyed to Tg Tualang (famed for its freshwater prawns aka big head prawns) for dinner. Back at the resort, some LGTC adventurers went mango plucking and durian picking at the resort compound. Since there were no tools available to open the durians, the LGTC innovators tried all possible ways to open the King of Fruits (door hinge, curtain rail, car key and stepping on the durian!!!) and finally succeeded!

The next day started with Mee Rebus brunch at Teluk Intan, thanks to Ryan. In the afternoon, LGTC members had the privilege to visit Bethany Home at Simpang Empat. Soon after, the LGTC convoy headed home to the Klang Valley via the Coastal road and stopped by Kuala Selangor for dinner.

As always, this was an excellent trip with good friends, great company, and of course, SUPERB driving!
