I used to bowl a lot during my younger days and very recently I had some fun with my wife and son at the bowling alley at Alamanda Putrajaya.

What do you bros/sis think of this? We can have some fun at some bowling alley (KV, of course, me being where I am), maybe on some Sunday (and I'll try to bring my wife+son)...

Doesn't matter if you suck or have never bowled before (and I assure you that you will have some fun trying it out for the first time)... it's the togetherness that matters most. Besides, there's only one gathering where you can suck at bowling and still get away with it... and that is with LGTC members :)
AGM
I like bowling. Count me in.

Yup, same here. I had 2 bowling balls... one was a 14-pounder (for sparing), another was a 12-pounder (for hooking/first throw). Both are history now :) Also used to have 2 wrist-guards/tighteners, again both history.

Bowling is fun, bros and sis... you will enjoy it.

2 balls is only for a start. If you are playing for tournament, you need diff hook balls for diff lane conditions. Diff bowler diff style and diff balls has diff reaction.

Datuk Optimus, if bowling is held on weekdays then I'm out. I was hoping that this would be a family-oriented activity, so that it would be held on weekends whereby members here can bring their family along (esp. members with kids) and everyone can have a good time (and not talk about cars all the time laugh.gif ).

It's a form of relaxation too :)

But, of course, if bowling appeals to some members and they rather it be held on weekdays, that's fine too...

yes rev, agreed wit u, just to suggest that day, bcos that the only empty slot if to have on weekly basis.
Also can to have it as monthly basis ... maybe can arrange on weekend..

most important is, someone have to step out to be volunteer to head this event...
like badminton luckily we have desmond as head of badminton.
Reverend
I can take the lead on this, Optimus, no problem.

First things first then :

1) Which bowling alley? I'm at a loss here... have really been out of touch...
2) Which bros/sis are interested? I assume all those that have commented in this thread would be interested... anyone else?
3) Which is preferred -- weekdays (evenings) or weekends (time?)?
ettan28

weekday at nite lo after work.
scarlet
This thread has been quiet for quite some time. No takers?

Do count me in. I can join if the games are to be held during weekends.

I suggest the alleys at Summit, USJ or Endah Parade, Sri Petaling yes.gif
