I ve been thinking about VW 1.4TSI engine which is available in Golf GT (not GTi which has 2.0 TFSI and priced at RM200K). A review in autocar, showed the bhp around 160+ and 0-100 around 8.5 seconds. Since the displacement is only 1.4, the price should be much less than GTi version. In UK it is priced around 18K (CRV is about 20K).

If it is available here, I might jump ship to VW. The same engine powered VW Tiguan (CRV class) due to launch soon in s'pore.

I was also interested in the GolfGT, who wouldn't want a 1.4 turbo + supercharged engine. But i seriously doubt IF they bring it here, the price will be lower than the Lancer GT due to import tax etc.

if they bring in GTi and can still find buyers, why not GT version with lower price and lower displacement to take advantage of NAP. power is 170ps (TSI) and 200ps (T-FSI)

if you compare the cheapest GTI sold in UK is around 20k UK Pound which translate to roughly 200k RM if u buy one here.
so if the cheapest GT is around 17k UK Pound, how much u think it will cost to get it here?

this engine will be high on maintenance as turbocharged alone already require one to change all fluid in the car in every 3000KM interval and it require better oil some more. With both supercharge and turbocharged. That would hurt a lot on the pocket.

How to compare Mazda 6 with M. Weird. I was looking at this early last year and i was given the price 168K or something. I think this is Accord/Camry class.

and i just noticed something, they proudly say the mazda comes with 3 yrs warranty but "somehow" miss to state that brand M's comes with 5 yrs warranty...lol

Yo bro, actually I went to Naza showroom at TTDI last week. The main intention for me is to check out the Mazda 6 who currently having a promotion. However, the SA told me the selling price after discount is about RM135k+ ...

In terms of quality of build, Mazda 6 is top notch. Especially the interior and the front projector xenon headlamp, I love it very much!!! However, the new Mazda 6 will be launching next year. I guess same thing happened like Honda Accord recently, huge discount given till year end...

Well, it will be another Keep In View car selection for me in case I get fed up waiting the Lancer GT...

From the Mazda 6 advertisement today, seems like what I told the Sales Manager at Naza really bring some effect on it... I told him, I already place RM1k booking on the new Lancer GT, however, no news yet regarding the delivery. He said he can work out something to compensate the booking fee........ I will check it out again when I back from Kelantan this Friday.

the discount is for the old version of the 6. From outside doesn't look like a big car. Well, still is ones choice. For me I won't be going for older model as one may feel depress when the new model hit the street right after you just bought it.

mazda 3 1.6 was 100k when they had the promotion last time i saw (in august). not sure about 2.0 version. Doubtfully will be less than 110k though!

Mazda3 2.0 shud be in the 125-129K price range...that was bout 3 months ago. Donno whether they have slashed the price like the outgoing Mazda6. Im guessing the promo is for yr 2006 Mazda 6... so in essence its an outgoing model and almost 2 years old summore.

90+k, if i am not mistaken, no leather, no spoiler, fabric seats, no sports rim( rim cover only), non metallic colour. I test drove this in June, and that time it was selling about RM99++.
Overall impression, so so....4 speed only. Felt heavy on the car though.

If new Mazda6 selling price in between 120k-130k I think a lot of people might pull out.. This new design M6 really look sleek...the front look is just perfect...But I don't think they can sell at this price.. The old model maybe can to clear up the stock...

Saw a sort of road show at Hartamas Shopping Complex yesterday after work, The mazda6 was selling for 135k for the 2.0l model, not sure if after or before discount.

Yup ..definitely the old stock..A lot of car maker clearing up the old stock including toyota..The used to be uncle car altis which is not so uncle already with added bodykit also selling at discount..Next year new altis which is camry look alike little brother also will be launched...So for those don't mind with old model can go for it..
