Hi guys, any idea what will be th car price in 2010 after FTA takes effective? Will above 2000cc cars' price drop very much?

Hmmmm...not sure, but it'll definitely b cheaper, that is if the government is gonna use d FTA, they'll have to come out with other stuff to save Proton.

Sigh, don't whether I should buy Lancer now or wait for 2010... If the tariff is waived, 350Z will be almost same price as Lancer :p

Proton is fading, they won't last long... I really worry that passenger car price will drop a lot...

Car price will not drop. That will be many more years to come for it to drop.

fta can be pushed out like they did back in 2004. Malaysia asked for extension (it's obligatory under the asian trade agreement but not a crime not to commit)

The trend and critics say it should be pushed out at least till 2014 for full implementation (even the VW-proton agreement still not solidified)

having said that, we should still see further slow-gradual decrease in vehicle prices over time

Last time when City just launched also same thing mah, everybody keep asking me to wait for AFTA then car will be cheaper bla bla bla.

So I waited la... see see end up the price increase pulak after gov added some dunno what tax to counter the low import tax and me ended up still using my Iswara.

So learn from my mistake, DON'T WAIT!
