If next year, the beautiful bolehland wants to do a tax revision on our automobile industry and assuming GT gets it too, will we get deduction for those who hadn't got our cars yet ??

(a bit similar to the price increase topic)

Based on the previous NAP introduction, it should have a price reduction. However, sales were confused for almost 2-3 months. This is bcoz the details and instruction given out were very vague.
Our Boleh Minister do not really take all into consideration before making a decision or say something! So they always introduce 1st then when comes to implementation, FAIL FAIL FAIL then try to rectify! For example, MRR2 bridge, Johor-S'pore 2nd link, double tracking project in Ipoh, Proton-VW and many many more!
RIGHTFULLY, there shd be a reduction in ASEAN imported car as next year is the UTLIMATE deadline for M'sia to open our AUTO MARKET to ASEAN countries. If we fail to do so, our BOLEH ministers will use ALL OUR $$$ (Tax $) to pay the penalty to protect STUPID PROTON!
Btw, we have also signed a FTA with Japan mid-06. So by right, our Japan imported car shd be tax free!
Again, we have somthing call excise duty!!!!! Taxing own people for foreign goods = so Msia makes other happy in term of free trade on our expense!

I am really frustrated with Proton! No offence to Proton owner! BUT IT HAS BEEN 20 YEARS ALREADY!
Can't even manufacture a decent car! When Airbag is a necessity, they are still struggling to make sure all the door panels fit well. Again quoting facts, Japz cars default rate are 0.2 per car, our Proton is 5 per car! In most countries, the standard is 0.4 per car, i.e almost flawless in production!

2007 NAP revision saw no changes in 2006 NAP. 2007 saw the tweaking of provisions to address assembler's issue. Have it assembled here rather than Thailand incentives, for example. Hence, currency fluctuations have to be borne by customer. Do not know how successful it is, however, nissan and honda may be committed to Malaysia, but not for Toyota I guess.

I'm happy for the fact that nissan n honda opt for m'sia...

but like mit-89, i'm really sceptical about the execution process not to mention if they stil can't fulfil afta requirement.

please REMIND us how much our dear bolehland paid penalty for the johor-sg bridge?
