I m working in Melaka but hometown in Ipoh....

Decided to take express bus from Melaka-Puduraya-Ipoh....
Got nothing to do on bus n started counting the number of Mitsubishi Lancer cars i see on the road.....

On the highway o da way i only spotted 3 Lancers.....
2 more in KL area......
None in Melaka or Ipoh.....

Tried counting the number of Honda Civics OTR.....1,2,3................infinity
Luckily din buy Honda Civic

When did you do the count? Last weekend a few Ipoh Lancerers were in KL. So far we have 7 members and at least 4 non-members in Ipoh area.

Did my counting on Sunday...19th Oct 08.....time was from morning till around 2-3pm...
of course i btw i dozed off for a while.....
But the number of Lancers OTR comparatively to toyota, honda or nissan still relatively few

That's why our ride still turns heads everywhere we go.

It's only been a year since Lancer's launch.

And then there's the thing about a lotta folks getting turned off by the long waiting period earlier on.

But of course, I don't particular mind the fact that there aren't that many OTR right now... still got "star status", hehe :)

same here in Penang. Everytime I drive in Prai or BM, I can see 1 or 2. I hardly drive there but the chance to meet one is easier than the Penang island. EVeryday drv back home hardly see even one. I stay in Penang Island work in Mainland. Interesting is, BMW 5 & 3 seriese and Merc C class can see more than 5 each day. Tak pernah miss. Cheh...Penang banyak orang kaye leh....

Proud for lancer owner

based on the new faces at TTs the numbers are growing steadily rather than overnight like earlier.

those that were not serious gave up afer the price increase because of the following excuses:
- tire noise
- more expensive 18" tyres
- stiff sports suspension
- best excuse - resale value!

as a product - even after the price increase I think its still great value - you'd probably spend 130+ on a civic 2.0 with bodykit. of course different strokes for different folks.

It's true. almost 10 months i drived Lancer. Only 3 times spotted them. VEry-very susah to see Lancer in Penang Island. Sometime make me so proud when drive it.. hinsh..hinsh....

i agree with all of u... since there r not many lancers around, it makes heads turn everywhere we go... i've personally experienced ppl asking if they can take photo of the car... it makes me feel very proud

I spot almost every weekend at Qbay. Normally is black or red gt. My apartment got 1 silver gls PHQ xxxx and mine red gt.

In Sydney, there are hardly any CJ's on the road.

There are a lot of lancers in Brunei.
Can easily meet one on the road.
They also usually hang out in Miri.

Miri lancer owner? Hardly see one.
Only one car per month being sell here (if not two months).

Proud to own one.

I'm staying in KL now but once a while go to to parents' house in Seremban. Very difficult to see on OTR. If got also, it's not local.

haha, no worry, when the PD annual gathering comes, largest ever lancer gt/gls showing will rule the town...all street folks will have their eyes drop

i am seeing more lancers than civics these day though.

Yes, you're so right. I'm staying in Melaka and it's hard to spot a Lancer around. I believe many of Malaysians cling to the thought of resale value and this is one of the many reasons why Honda & Toyota can be seen easily, almost every where. Nonetheless, the lesser you can find, the more it makes you proud - proud to be different and that's "outstanding". Be proud to own a Lancer. I feel proud whenever I notice people look or stare at my Lancer though it's no Ferrari.

Maybe Malacca people prefer to buy Honda. Honda manufactured their car in Malacca at this while..

Again none in Ipoh or Melaka.....

Last night travelled from kl to sp.. Only came across 1 lancer along the 4hr drive.. Ratio still very low..

Northern part also hardly spot lancer, KV have more.

i dont understand why some ppl like to give this excuse....not yet buy also talk abt selling off as 2nd hand?? weird....

kat jerantut, lancer banyak....setiap hari jumpa,the same car....aku balik raya kelantan baru nih pun terserempak dua je kat labok, machang...sebabnya aku rasa,rupabentuk dia cam kereta utk org lelaki...tu kalu dah berbini, mau angkat satu...pasti byk cerita ngan bini...kena lak bini x minat bentuknya...memang kena beli civic....kes aku le senang, bini pun x ape minat ngan lancer sbb bentuk utk golongan lekaki, tapi dia tak kisah pun bab2 kereta..janji kereta baru, x banyak ragam...satu kali masuk sekolah dia, parking depan kelas....peh.....semua budak tertengok2...peh...itu le penangan lancer sebenarnya...
