Perhaps the Evo must come, to redirect their attention away from lancer

It will take time to know if its a hot car.

At the moment, there still isn't that much of a market for Lancers in Thailand/Indonesia. So we're safe for now. Its the camry's and civic's which are on the wanted list now.

Easiest way to stop your car becoming a target - Bling It!! Modified cars are a bit hard to sell, so the chances that it will become the target are lower than a stock car in pristine condition.

I agree with se7en. One thing you guys can do to prevent ur car from stealing is to mod it kau kau. Then nobody will steal the car before they will have difficulties to sell it off thumbsup.gif

i think maybe some will steal it then use in track, as track car no engine number no chassis number...

on top of being worried about our car get stolen, we also have to worry about our wheel got stolen. since the tyres is damn expensive, some party might want to gain some quick bucks. happen to me 9 years ago, when my mud tyres on my ford courier 4x4 got stolen. they managed to steal 2 pcs, another 2 tyres wheel nuts already removed but no time to jack up and put the brick. my housemate woke up early for his 5 am shift. lucky, if not all 4 got stolen. each tyre cost me rm500, not including the rim. I spend 2 days looking for the same tyres/rim combo all over klang valley. had to get assistance from ford malaysia to locate the original supplier, lucky the taukeh was willing to drive all the way from batu caves to my house at subang jaya and get it fixed. after that trauma already, I installed 2 locking nuts on each tyre on my previous wira. on my current waja, I dont bother the changes the tyres/rim. all stock standard. when I get my GT later, have to be careful where I park my car.

when i was back home in penang, tyres theft was happening everywhere. I was standing at the balcony watching this lady get into her car, start engine but car cannot move...when she got out from her car, baru realize all four of her tyres were stolen. Then it happened to few other ppl. After some time the tyre theft was linked to an auto shop that sells tyres. All these ppl bought tyres from the same tyre shop.

So, becareful when you visit any autoshop. Try not to give away your home address and remember to remove any condo sticker on the windscreen as well.

My sister's kembara nearly got stolen as well. If the security guard didn't go on rounds that night she could have lost her car forever. She fixed in new set of alarm system and changed her locks.
