my cousin is a dealer for Proton and he has both Persona and the New Saga. after he owns the Saga, he seldom drive the Persona coz he mentioned the Persona feel lacking of power as compare to Saga when driving, and save more fuel too compare to Persona..But I never drove/ test drive it.

Oh no... donyong is going to sell his GT and Maz6 and change to Potong Saga ermm.gif

He he, so far, i heard the new Saga is quite a decent RM30+k car... decent room, decent performance, decent ride. FC is a bit hi for a 1.3L, typical of Potong Campro hi rev weak torque characteristic. As usual for Potong, quality is not very consistent, when QC is rite, the car is nice; but if unluckily get a poor QC car, fuel gauge is not correct, suspension quek quek sound, steering rattle, engine rev gila gila a bit, body got rust, panels not fit and paint job not neat.

my wife drives a saga BLM. Overall i think the saga is the "next generation" of quality car by proton. In terms of QC, i think proton went an extra mile. When my wife got the car, it was filled with QC stickers all over. It seems that they want to achieve back customer's trust after a long long run of "defective" cars. The engine is a bit loud to my liking. So too is the pick-up but what do you expect from a 1.3, 30K+ car. The air-conditioning is superb (i guess much more stronger than our LGT) but it does not have option for the air cond to blow from underneath the leg (which i did not like). the seats are more comfortable than a kelisa. The turning radius, like all the protons are not that great. As usual the ICE on the car like other proton cars are crappy. Saying all that, i think that proton saga blm is a value for money car.

Or it is a profit matter car????

Donny, don't buy the Saga... buy a nice big muscle bike for the same price and you and your wife can have lots more fun, hahaha :)

I bought my wife a new Saga BLM one month after I got myself the lancer. I have been driving both cars since April , so 6 months now. I've clocked 2300 KM on the Saga, mostly doing short distance travelling. overall, it is a value for money car. at the same price, you can buy 1.0 litre Viva which is much smaller car. in fact I was about to buy the Viva when I found out that I can buy the Saga with the same price. yes, fuel consumption is a little bit on a high side for a 1.3 engine. interior is quite roomy for such a small car. built quality is okay la for proton standard. air cond yes, quite strong. I hardly use in the morning, its freezing cold. the only thing I dont like is the auto gearbox. 1st gear is quite short, I have to rev until almost 4K rpm before it change gear. pick up is not that good. driving below 120kmh is quite okay, beyond that the engine sound strained already. overall, for the price of quarter of our lancer, it is quite a good car.
