Full Version: Need Support From All Volunteers

Ironman
hi guys,

i believe most of us have been working hard for our future we have hoped for. and
eventualy our hardship is paid off and rewarded with ability to own a damn nice GT to
enjoy with. It's "work hard & play hard".

so guys, i would like to share something which come across my mind days ago,
that is to learn appreciate what we have now. and it's unfortunate for those don't have an
opputunity to have normal life as we do. feel pity for them, so we should appreciate what
we have around us.

besides enjoying ourselves in this club, i would like to suggest to the club that we also
will not neglet those unfortunate out there, like orphanage, handicap, abandon old folks and etc.
we will show them that we are caring for them. other than enjoy ourselves with car mod, convoy and bla...bla...
doing charity will definitely make our club even more meaningful.

i realize that our club is newly established for only several months, and our club fund
is absolutely insufficient for any activity in near future. with only a few official members
in this club will not help much at all, so to make thing happens, i expect more and more
volunteers step forward to support our club in organizing meaningfull activity
like charity.

we know LGTC will be popularized by highly-spirited lancer GT enthusiast via
suscessful car-modding, outstanding performance, expertise and ect. but i expect other
out there, especially those unfortunate, come to know LGTC by what we have contributed,
not the car we have.

Guys, when LGTC becomes popular, let other see the club is not only popular for its
nice lancer GT, but also by what the LGTC members have done for society. By then we ll
be proud of ourselves being the club members.

I hope our Mr.P and comittees members as well as other members will consider charity as part of our club future activity. Looking forward to more response from everyone in this forum.

Thks.

Rgds,

Ironman,

As u have pointed out, the club's still young and funds aren't even enough. I to have yur opinion, but it's early days. We will definitely give back to the community, will do it at the appropriate time.

Thanks for the heads up. thumbsup.gif

I understand where ur coming from ironman. Its actually in our long term plan to do charity and visitations as you have mentioned. We won't be all fun and games, we will also help the community whichever way we can. Maybe one day we can join merdeka parade...lol biggrin.gif

However all these can be archieved when our club grows as more members join our club and with the increase funding, we can make things happen thumbsup.gif

Technically this topic belongs inside the Clubhouse and not in Suggestions.
prodmar
definitely need your participation more ironman to see things happen in the club

Thanks for the suggestion.

I would say that the main factor that prevents us from doing charity at this point of time is the lacking of cars. It's not difficult at all to achieve what is being mentioned if there are cars allocated to members. The only reason why I am still holding back this idea or any events is because we do not have enough headcounts to do so.

It's not necessary to use the funds in the club. Members can gather together and have a charity drive. We can buy some groceries on our own expense and send it to the homes. Those things will not cost us a lot, but it means a lot to those unfortunate people out there.

I have been doing charity and have some contacts with Beautiful Gate which is located in SS2. And am planning to organize a charity drive when the time comes. Along the way, we will engage more centers and homes for different charity drives.

Please bear with us now and be more patient. All I can say is most of the events and activities will only be coming in next year because of the lacking of cars which limit us from recruiting more members into our club to put those plans into reality. Hope this helps.

Ironma,
Good one. Agree with you. Agree with Desmond too.

Let's wait for a little while, and we will do a good one! Yes yes, funds are not important, like what Desmond said. I don't mind if it comes from my own pocket!

until we have car of own, how about we start saving now, old news paper n other thing which they can use to resell n get the monies for their own use... save now then in future when these event r on, then we can use them, old books is usefull also

Not a bad idea too. But that's not what they are looking for actually if you have the chance to speak to the person in-charge of the homes. They can make better handicrafts and sell off at a higher price than the old newspapers or magazines.

In my personal point of view, money does not make them happy or feel better. You wonder why? For orphanage, old folks homes and disabled homes, what they really need is loving and care. They are very happy if you visit them, talk to them and show that you care for them.

That's why we normally buy stuff like rice, drinks (milo/horlicks/coffee), towels, t-shirts, etc etc...to help them because those homes are non-profitable organization. We can also collect some fund and give to the person in-charge so that he/she can purchase equipments like wheelchairs and all if needed. They can also use the money to pay for all expenses and maintain the homes.

We can also bring those orphans in our GTs for a short trip like going to the birdparks, butterfly farm, etc.

My 2 cents.
