My new toy had arrived !!! It is a post Christmas present from my wife..


It arrived in my office in a little package...


I open it up and .. WAH !!!! It is an AE86 TAKARA TOMY Drift Package Light !! (Don't ask me why it is called Package Light... I guess it is light.. hahah)

Well, it is not RTR (Ready to Run)... some assembly required.. But.. it only takes a few minutes..
Look at all the tiny bits and pieces...
Which means... It can be upgraded and moded too... WAH...


Here is the 'Body' ... My all time favorite Drift Car.. AE86.. (Lancer is my all time favorite Normal Car)


In a few minutes, following a fully in Japanese manual, I got the 4WD system installed.
There are 2 motors in it.. 1 for steering.. and the other one to power the 4WD.


And within 20 mins.. I got the whole car fixed up...

Well.. here it is... got nothing much to say.. .

And too bad my office do not have batteries... it needed 5 X AAA batteries... 3 for the car.. and 2 for the remote..

Anyway.. I reached home and got myself 10 new Energizers...
Hmmm... The Drift action looks good.. but to control it, not really quite realistic for those who have drifting experience... For those who never drift before.. This is definately EASY to drift and Cheap.. hahah.. you can crash a million times...

and.. for those who have seen my Lancer Stunt videos... hmm.. maybe I will make another video soon... DRIFT video.. hahahah.. BUt this time, I promise I will not mislead/pull your legs...

I think there's still a RC Rx-7 in Jusco coating about rm160+, if i still remembered correctly, it can be used for drifting, as stated on the box.... but it's small

Oh yeah.. it is the size of an Adult Palm..

Compare to the Audley R/C... it is 50% bigger.

I have drained 3x AAA batteries.. and I am still no where near a perfect donut..
I can do random drift that looks cool but cannot stay in the 'track' or line...

haih.. need at least a week of training..

looks interesting.... now mini rc got lots of choices...

saw a few guys racing larger scale drift RC (1/10 I think) cars in One utama - last weekend. very nice and looks like fun.

got lots of models to choose from incl. new GTR. from 799Rm onwards - for more serious enthusiasts - got lots of aftermarket "mods" too!
