Please ask your family members or friends to be careful when using the KL-Ampang Elevated Highway at night. I just watched a video interview in Malaysiakini about this poor girl, a 25 year old corporate manager, who was assaulted by “Mat Rempits” and sustained severe head and facial injuries and a broken leg. Really bas***ds those mat rempits, should include canning/whipping as an additional penalty..

They should close the elevated highway to motorcyclist... just like the old days...

I think this is a good idea for safety reasons. There is simply not enough room on the AKLEH highway for the motorcyclists. The reason why it was opened for motorcyclists was because of the drastic increase in petrol price last year.

I use the highway everyday. I have seen motorcylists showing middle fingers or showing angry gestures at cars for attempting to change lane, "not giving way to the motorcyclists", etc.

FYI, I have nothing personal against the motorcylists. I used to ride a motorcycle myself in my younger days.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm............. people looking at an angle where by putting some barriers will stop the problem, for example closing down the ALKEH Hiway will stopped this mat rempit menace, it will never ends. Trust me.
The G have to take example of the UK road license system. Where by, Malaysian population is only 27 million. UK is about 60 million, yes off course plus the immigrant. But in UK the Road Transporation Agency here in Malaysia known as JPJ, were very strict. They have a system which each driver after a certain period of time well be re-evaluate so that, they are fit enough to drive. And futhermore, in UK, traffic offender will receive a very hard punishment which include prison and fine. If you were arrested making a 2nd traffic offense, the punishment will be twice harder as before.

So, from my point of view. The system of getting license and for owning and driving a motorcycle need to be enhance, our neighbor the SG have a very good system. Why not our G try to learn and change that, everyday people in Malaysia dies and traumatized by road fatality. Aren't they learn anything???? :(

speaking about highway... sigh... my house is quite close to KL-PUtrajaya highway. Ever since it is open, every nite also hear turbo engine roaring sounds like as if I'm staying next to sepang...

There is nothing for our Government to learn and change. Malaysia have very good laws but no enforcement or double standard enforcements. Everyone knows what the root of the problem is.....enough said.

Haiz... don't be surprised some police may even be the 'eyes and ears' for the rempit

lalalala...the trick is be alert to your surrounding...these buggers will ronda2 and target the people who religously follow their daily routine...so they can predict your movement...to complicate those buggers who obviously not that smart...just make a random routine...don't come home at the very same times everyday...avoid using same road to house everyday...and keep your handphone by your side and start calling police or friends if you notice they was stranger(large crowd of rempits) at your home area...patrol police car will chase away those buggers...

now i really miss my time in the states, where you can just go to kmart or meijer and get yourself a shotgun or a hunting rifle...you pay the deposit, and show your id, come and collect your firearm after two weeks...no unnecessary shooting people and you'll be ok...they say guns dont kill people, people kill people...

anybody trespassing, yes you can use your glock, desert eagle, 12 bore shotgun or the small walter ppk...
