i just had a drag race with the above car.
Profile:
Civic ES 2.0 - near stock, running on 17' wheels, not too sure if any mod or not TBH.
Civix FD2 - running on 17' wheels, some mod and with Pivot Throttle controller.
my LGT - some mod , running on 18' wheels, with Blitz Throttle controller
Result:
i lost to the Civic ES by half car length without on the throttle controller
i lost to CIviv ES by 1 car length with on the throttle controller
-----------------------
Result:
i won by half car length with Civic FD2 on 2 rounds. without knowing if FD2 on the Pivot Throttle controller or not. but i off it for 2 rounds. didnt on it.
last round, Civic ES vs Civic FD2 , fd2 also lost abt 1 car length.
Verdict on the Blitz throtler controller, i notice it doesnt really help from stand still, but RPM shooting up like mad from 2000rpm onwards. how u felt, bro fatboy? the pulling power is unexperience before, although not really help in stand still launching.
conclusion, next time meet FD2, dont worry, just go ahead

from standstill lor...if on the run or running start you should turn the throttle controller on....lalalalalala...i usually on the HAC after 80km/h...then can see the speedometer dash from 80 to 140 km/h in a sec...lalalalala

Sean, did you use D or the paddles when you used the Blitz? There's a difference.

1. What's the distance that you had for your drag?

3. Did you detach your big wing?
4. How was the 140 - 0kmhr? ahaha;)

i didnt on the throller controller. coz i want a fair game. i on it with ES on 2nd round coz want to see the diff in it. and proven again, the throttler controller doesnt really help from stand still. it only help in rolling start.
then with FD2, i managed to pull him away by half car length, so no need to turn on even. for both rounds, no issue. can win.
i also didnt use paddle, coz i still find that pick up launch, D mode the fastest.
the distance ard 250-300meter, from what i can see.
for the drag with ES, i find that if longer distance, i can make a come back. but we agredd to brake right in front of the corner be it lose or win. so no chance.
However, with FD2, although i already pull him half car distance, but seems that he cant catch up. then at the corner where wwe supposed to brake, i still can hear his engine roaring, so i just whack all the way, after ard 1km distance, the gap is much bigger.
note that i dindnt detach my GT wing. i requested to take it off, but opponent rejected my request. so drag with it on.
the final speed i think, i hink only ya, ard 110kmh before e brake. (if i remmeber correctly la)
as for the 140-0 brake test, no need to test, coz before the drag, the head of caldina club tested and said dont want to test 140 - 0 liao. as he already knew the power of it. hehe!
Rev, u just wait, just wait ya. i will once again let u know, even on 18 inch wheeler, can chop u like chop carrot, hehe!

That sounds about right, Ah Sean. Our car ZTH average about 8-9sec with some mods, so can reach 100km/h at around 250meters.

dont congrats me la. the whole intention for this drag is to break the myth of Lancer VS Civic only.
btw, i google it and found that Civic ES 2.0 produces 160hp/ 19kgm torque and weighted at 1244kg.
not only the stock horses more than LGT but also lighter by ard 120kg if compare to LGT. most importatly, non-CVT.
Thanks for the results Sean.. I can now have more confidence if meet with those damn civic.. hehehe...

Actually, I think the problem is not on 4B11... 4B11's 155hp@6000 & 199Nm@4250 power comes earlier than K20's 155hp@6500 & 188Nm@4500... and it shows in Lancer's victory in drag race
As pointed out before, speed is function of hp and weight,
Since 4B11 and K20 have same top 155hp => meaning Lancer's lower top speed can be bcoz of higher weight/drag or lower hp on wheel:
- We know our CVT eats about 25% hp (115~120hp on wheel)... Civic 5-speed auto may be more efficient than our CVT. Does any1 got Civic's wheel hp number???
- Civic (Cd at 0.29) is aero sleeker than Lancer (Cd is likely 0.30+). GLS w/o spoiler proves the spoiler eats about 10~15km/h.
- Lancer (curb weight at 1,385) is heavier than Civic (curb weight at 1,315)

CVT is a trade off, while not giving the best whp, it gives better wNm than any other car with less % loss and of course jerk free compared to the AT of the other car. (as far as drag is concerned)
the ES is a lighter car than the FD2, thinner donuts and this helps....but of course, SC999's car is already light but he's fat!!!
as for the controller, I have not installed since I know its no good for drag, more for when the car is in motion....
For 0-100kmh, stock Lancer, 150meters, I'm currently doing it around 120 meters by the time I reach 100kmh...., (100 meters @ 95kmh)
250meters is good for around 130kmh....

My buddy madsurgeon (white Lancer) beat 8GCC's "Black Puma" in an impromptu drag along Penchala Link. Go check at 8GCC what is "Black Puma". I know the owner. High-ish HP, highly modded (with "branded mods"... Sean, your lansi type :) joking only... owner very friendly guy), mentioned in this forum before. That car modded to go on track, heavy and will lose in short drag. In a longer drag, that Black Puma will smoke my buddy's stock Lancer.
That's why don't simply say things at other forum until you know the mod priority/direction of other cars (including FDs).
