Cool down bro...I believe that the FD is a good car...and most of the members in 8GCC are very mature and nice ppl. You talk to them you know. They are passionated ppl like us who want to know more about their car. At times you get one or two senseless driver, be it Lancer/Civic who likes to talk big after "winning" another driver who did not even intend to "race". So don't worry. I think many of the FD drivers also facing same problem like us- kena cucuk by various cars. Its okay...just gun it. If you can smoke, smoke em'....if you can't, just indicate and give way. Most importantly...we don't harm other road users.

When you pit an FD1 and FD 2 in a drag, the FD1 leads within 80 meters...thereafter the FD2 catches up...

8GCC knows this, nothing new, so, if a drag is less than 80 meters, FD1 would beat the LGT....

Best known FD1 belongs to "superstar", just a 421 extractor change...but he has changed to 17" from stock 16", so he now gets smoked by FD2 within 50 meters...

i heard from FD community, FD1 is really somehow faster than FD2. i also dont know true or not.

Sean, FD1 atkinson cycle engine ma....definately good for short drags only (below 80kmh or so), longer cannot lo....

i watched in youtube, those guys can use a manual 1.8 FD1 to finished their lap in SIC at 3:01. whereas i can only do 3:18.

We also never test manual Lancer in SIC. I think can get good result.

Actually thats what i heard from my friend as well. His FD2 will lose to FD1 on 1st and 2nd gear. Only 3rd gear onwards the DOHC and higher CC can whack the FD1.

before i got my LGLS, i was looking at FD as well, and i noticed that the is a slight difference in size of FD1 and 2. Also, the Honda sales guy told me that vtec is set to come in at an earlier RPM range (around 1-2kl) for FD1. Maybe thats why FD1 is quite peppy and responsive?Not too sure.

But FD2 is a heavier car maybe cause leather seats ,rims, an all the added accessories (hahaha).2.0ES is really fast...cause the horsepower is about the same as FD2 but the car is lighter. FD2 wins in terms of handling, corner and stability at top speed.

But whatever lar, i'm super bias and i think Lancer still better in everyway :P

nb- i dont know if its me or not, but in terms of power, is there a difference between GLS and GT? SC told me that the ECU is different as well as the settings for both. Is GT tune for better acceleration? seems that everyone on the forum has no problem smoking FD2 on drag...but i don't think my GLS can. Feels sluggish especially 2nd gear..

Not true bro. GT and GLS same. So many speed demon here drive GLS.

Whether its GLS or GT, stock vs stock you can't smoke a FD2 (drag). You can potentially lead by half car length with proper launch. Personal experience though. Outcome would probably different if i meet a better FD driver.

Bro Strike, it was the EON sc at jln 223. Yeah i heard bad things about them, but i only service up to 20k so still send to them cause nearest to my place.

And since my 20k service, i got slow down warning 3 times after that @#!

My personal opinion - i think the 4b11 is quite a powerful engine. 3rd gear and 4th is really nice. but the power plateus too fast on 1st and 2nd gear, and 5th and 6th not torquey enough. Maybe its the CVT or maybe tuning would help.

but like what had been said earlier, i think its a contribution of having a spoiler, weight of the car, bigger rims, aerodynamics (yes have to admit, civic more aerodynamic with its spaceship design, compared to our jerung garang design)

but I think LGT/GLS more stable at high speeds especially 180 and above muahaha

hello guys,just wanna let it out.for the record,its on running start.i smoked these two civics before.i dont think there's much diff than civics over in malaysia than in brunei.we're all on easy mode at the time though like sport air filter and exhaust but my lancer was lowered with tien.btw,my car is 5-speed manual and its an EX not a GT.there's not much diff than the interriors though

0-100 atm is 8s flat but it can be better since im not a good drager lol uberly fail but sorry no video..btw,sape bleh tolong answer soalan ne,nape byk member kat sini guna CVT?i seldom read anything about manual
