ummm i found out this, but dunno wether is true or not, heard that now the new lancer is very hot car and not only japan they r manufacturing the car, but INDONESIA?!!!

indo helping to manufacture the car, send it to japan's verify, mayb some correction.....CHOP to prove that is from japan then sent it to malaysia? thats why fully imported from japan and price is not high?

they do have plant all over... but it's hard to believe it's up to that level to do outside n send back to japan, easier to send japan engineer to certified the car in indo, than send car to japan... plane ticket is cheaper, hehe

i searched internet, found no trace of mits plant in indo tat produce car... if not mistaken they share same one as susuki... our apv susuki is mits car there

currently mitsu Lancer 08 only manufactured in Japan. Thats the fact. Indo plant?never heard abt it

I believed Lancer 08 also manufactured in US. But I could be wrong.

i asked this question here long ago, but apparently they are not made in US. All lancers are directly from Japan, hence the rumored world wide shortage...

mitsu are planning on setting up assembly lines in Russia and even US, but these are all still in preliminary stages if i'm not mistaken. All the current crop of cars are coming out of Japan. Assemble in Indonesia, and send back to Japan? LOL!!!

These rumors are probably started by those who have decided not to get the lancer and are trying to console themselves by saying bad things about the car.

There same pain were felt by all proud camry owners who booked their car in early 2006 and got them in 2007. The industry standard is already there. Price increase, whatever it is, is borne by the customer.
