Ok, the question I've been asking is which is more important for acceleration; torque or horsepower? From my understanding and what i've heard, torque is for pickup and horsepower is for top speed. But reading further makes me even more confused.
Given everything equal (for discussion sake) and a lossless CVT made in heaven, would I get the best acceleration at peak torque or would I get the best acceleration at peak horsepower?
