20 cars from LGTC fetch over 60 orphans and their guardians from 2 saperate orphanages to a charity event at MINES Wonderland today.

The group was splited in to 2 groups, one to fetch the orphans at Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Miskin in Gombak and another to fetch orphans at Pusat Jagaan Kanak-kanak Kurang Upaya KIRTARSH, Rawang.

Both groups then met up at a car park in Wangsa Melawati and was then escorted by 3 riders from the Road Safety Marshall Club (RSMC) to MINES Wonderland.



Thanks to Barry (Dark Knight) for organizing this event and to all that woke up 6am today to make this charity convoy.

Anyway, me & my other half enjoyed the event today, somemore we got 3 superbike outriders to escort us and clear the road for us... Felt like VIP convoy la...

The 3 kids in my car fell asleep halfway through the journey after their b'fast, guess they must be tired waking up at 5am and after makan... that's it la...

I am very sure all the kids had a great time. And that's all that matters. That LGTC was involved in this is besides the point (the kids prolly would've been just as happy/excited riding a Kancil)... but, of course, kudos again to Barry.

guys/gals, the expression left by the orphans/poor kids were SPEECHLESS when we escorted them to the MINES.
1 sweet 5 year old girl even slept in my NOISY car...kesian..maybe because of the 5am have to wakeup drill kot...
Kena smoke by 3 kawa gang is another story larrr...but felt great man seeing around 20 cars(?) being escorted side-by-side by RSMC (who works as a police (day job))

i did received a phone call from one of the volunteer's husband that his wife fell in love with lancer and they went to MMM showroom to check LGT . They are considering to buy one...

Bro, I don't know how often they come out from the orphanage. Maybe they were just shy. You were carrying boys or girls in your car?

But the 3 girls I carry in my car were OK woh. The youngest, Anis, is 10 years old while the oldest is 17 years old. I chatted with them in the car and the oldest even sang to the Siti Nurhaliza song from the radio station I tuned.

Of course they didn't say terima kasih to me also when we arrived at Mines Wonderland. Why? Because I don't think anyone told them the itinerary. I don't think they know that they were not coming back with us from Mines. Actually they were just overexcited and overawed by the entire experience.

Would I do it again? DEFINITELY YES. It was an eye opening experience for me........in a lot of things about the members here and society in general, both good and bad.

It was nice to meet you too Buttercup. I hope to meet you in future charity events.

Nice to meet LGTC members which I haven't meet b4, well it is truly a memorable event especially with the large cc bikes escorting our convoy to the Mines. Really feel so syoklah haha.

Well the kids in my car very quiet, tried talking to them but not much response.....the little girl in my car even puked twice. but Barry really prepared everything, hehe really grateful he gave me the plastics. hehe.

Hope there will be another chance to do something like this...combining our club with charity events.

Maybe we can do the longest convoy of cars in Malaysia....haha...to collect donation for some homes which need help.
