Who know where to get the best quote for Laptop Up-grade, i wish to up-grade as follows ;

Up-grade my ram to 2GB, Up-grade from XP to VISTA (Original) & Laptop battery as mine is out!!

to upgrade ram i think most notebook shop or even normal computer shop can upgrade for u, unless of cause if laptop still under warranty then u have to go to a lenovo reseller to upgrade.

from xp to vista, u need to make sure ur laptop has the drivers to support vista... maybe visit their site to find the drivers for ur video, sound, network etc...

as for the battery, same thing, chk with ur lenovo reseller...

for RAM, you need to know what type of RAM is used. Went to lowyatt 2 months back.. RAM type DDR2 PC4200 533 is RM65 for 2G.. but DDR PC2700 333 is RM155... I ask why DDR is so expensive?? why? bcoz of newer laptop now is using DDR2/3.. so a rare item...

if u stay in PJ, go to Computer War at SS2 lo... look for James ... althought he a bit lan si and moody sometimes, but when u mentioned my name, he will give u different treatment lo...

vista got many options le...cheapest got RM300+ to the most highest ultimate version...

RAM should be quite cheap nowadays, 2GB DDR2 RAM for notebook, should cost less than RM100 ... I bought mine last few months, only cost RM60 ...

battery, u need to ask James as they have different supplier (3rd party) or original battery ... price big different le...

it depend on the type of RAM whether it's DDR, DDR2 or DDR3.. just plug out and check

Bro ..not recommended to use vista and some more if you wanna running on vista the RAM atleast 4gb or else like turtle lor not rabbit (slow la) ..for RAM you can buy at PC depot nearby Megamal price reasonable...

so the price is around RM60-RM70..

Vista is optimised to use up to 3GB only..
Upgrade to 4GB RAM won't give you max ROI..
