There are many types of mounting kit..
You can mount from the "Drain"
or use the whole top pillar with the "legs" of the rack clamping on the top.. just like the one in the picture..
am currently using Rear boot bike carrier... at 130km/h down Balik Pulau Tun Sardon.. the bike looks like it is gonna fall off.. so.. thinking of roof racks..

Mountain Bike..

JL,
Was just wondering, if you dismantle the front and back tires, will your bike fit into the boot?

unkaleong,
bikers wont dismantle both tyres especially rear tyre to mobilized the bikes. rear and roof carriage is the only options and I believe the roof is the best. but for the lancers, i think it will fit ofcourse. if not can drop the seat anyway.
JL,
OT ya,
I was avid mountain biker before, err..10-15 years ago. But now thinkin of getting back on the mountain tracks. how long u been on it by the way and where is the pic taken? nice place.
cheers mate

hello bro .. im doing downhill ... last time when im still driving gen 2 .. i just used rear rack ... but got a lots of scratch la on my bonnet ... btw .. still on the same rack which is nicely fitted on my lancer ...but this time i am carefully put my bike on the rack and tightly put on the rack so any road bumps wont sway my bike onto the bonnet ...
btw its nice to look lancer with the roof rack ....
