I've got two old PCs sitting in the house and I want to get rid of them.

The first one is an old Dell running on an Intel Pentium 3 I bought in 2001. It still works accept that there is no OS. It has 128Mb RAM.

The other one is a clone I bought in Low Yat in 2004. Its an AMD Athlon, has 512Mb RAM. Its not working and I suspect its a burnt motherboard. I've also salvaged the hardisk for use in my new PC. The rest of the components including an old NVIDIA FX5200 with 128Mb VRAM still works.

I don't want to throw them away because it seems a waste. At least one PC still works and the other still has salvageable parts. I'm just wondering, is there a place I can sell them for a nominal price or donation box of some sort that accepts old PCs or maybe even a recycling centre where the parts can be reused for repair work on other old PCs?

Suggestions appreciated.

The Dell is working. Just needs an OS. I suppose that can be donated. What about the AMD machine? Any suggestions?

Not a bad idea. I'll need to find an OS for the Dell but definately can convert to a media PC for the TV. I have no TV yet but I suppose I can hold on to the PC first...

Can't really salvage for spare to use in my new PC. The old PCs still using SD RAM. The only thing can use as a spare is the graphic card which I recently lent to my friend until he can buy a new one to replace his KO card. The HD already salvaged. What else can I pull out of those old machines? Hmmm...
