IMO the only phone coming close to iPhone's software flexibility and stability is the upcoming Palm Pre, it should be even better from what little we have seen. Windows Mobile ??? chehh...not even can lick Apple's feet la....hahahahahhaa
btw I'm using Norkiah E71....and only used the video call once.

me no expert but one thing is for sure....you will be more confused

with new smartphones coming in d near future like the Palm Pre based on the spanking new webOS.
I guess it depends on what you want to do with your phone...for me my E71 is sufficient since I basically make /receive calls, once in a while check my emails, sometimes use the GPS and once made a video call.
BUT for the ultimate multimedia junkie...a combination of :
1. A Slingbox connected to Astro decoder box, a DVD player and home video surveillance camera
2. Slingbox Player (software) for...
3. An iPhone 3G S ( not surprisingly of course

)
See HereWhat can it do ?
While waiting for Quicksave to do our car's alignment, I can see whats on Astro...change channels....see my wife/cat in the house...or play the DVD.

My 2 cents, go for N97. Its a very good phone. Subscribe to the unlimited data package, and you'll have a pocket computer in your hand. I've tried it. Its business and fun in one gadget. The qwerty keypad is just an option. You don't have to use it cause you can use the touch screen (with finger or stylus) or the handwriting recognition (full screen). Can text even while you're driving (unlike the iphone). Very stable bluetooth. Can transfer data efficiently no matter how large.
Go for it....

My reply was "Oh ok... then you don't need the iPhone, regular handphone enough liao... unless you want me to buy you an iPhone just for bragging and looking lansi". Her reply was "Hmm... can look lansi while looking stylish or not?".
I replied "Can... one day when I intro you to a couple of friends of mine called Daniel or Sean... they will demonstrate how to be the Ultimate Lansi Lanyong person".

SC999
Jun 16 2009, 02:51 PM
Storm newly innovated screen, which i cant remember what it called, is a flop to me.
whenever u press, the screen will then sunk in, which it supposed to give u a feel that u already 'touched' the screen.
but in fact, it only bring u lagging in manouvering.
eldiablo
Jun 16 2009, 05:18 PM
Sean I think the function on the Storm is called surepress. feels wierd but some ppl like it. Iphone uses sound and visual more to achieve the same objective but lacks the "feel" of a keyboard. this might not make a difference depending on user.
The BBerry Bold 9000 is a great unit but lower fun factor. BBerry is great for business use and great for typing emails.
SC999
Jun 16 2009, 05:22 PM
i just cant recall the feature called. so its surepress la.
seriously, on paper it sounded good. but on actaul, i played n played with BB storm, failed big time. if u try it b4, u will knwo how hard u need to press to make it the keying is triggered.
iPhone using zoom out feature to let u know u alray touched the button. the magnifier function also good for editing.
i got full confident to beat anyone in terms of typing on iPhone VS 'any OS' haha!
