Look up on youtube; Best Motoring has a 5 car 5 lap race between 2 Evo X (SSC and Manual version), an Evo 9, WRX STi and a Nissan GT-R (iinm). The Evo X SSC leads on the 1st corner but the Evo 9 clearly out pacing it along the straights. The STi had tremendous launch velocity (maybe due to driver). In the end, the Evo 9 came out tops. The 2 Evo Xs made up the tail end of the bunch with the Manual Evo X last.

if not mistaken i read somewhere that MMM agrees that the new EVO X is slower in a straight line compared to the EVO IX, but it suppose to make up for it on the bends and corners with its new 4WD system

the evox for uk gets 350bhp but jap spec only 280bhp

yupe but i read somewhere then the jap specs on paper is 280bhp, but in reality is higher than that.

This is due to an agreement between all jap car manufacturers that all JDM cars have to be below 300bhp..

in fact, no sruporise that evo X lost out to Evo 9. dont forget that evo 9 actually the 3rd gen of the last model of evos. (evo-7,8, 8MR). thus no surprise at all. somemore, 4G63 alrady so matured after all the years in tuning and refining. 4B11T syrely will catch up soon. maybe evo X MR?
