Rm350-00 All In (Accom. Meals, Boat Transfers)..Total: RM 1,340-00. GB min 5 divers. Upon completion Student will get the C Card (licence to dive and wall certicate) There is no hidden costs. His classes is on every Saturdays 0900hrs - 1300hrs at Maybank Training Centre, Bangi next to Public Bank Training Centre. If we plan properly we can take this and dive while under training with Tokyo Girl / dantot's group at one go..we save money..if we need extra dives once we get the hang of it..we can always stay an extra day..We need to start soon to make it for October. Wow I am interested! However just 1 question here.. By october it's ady tengkujuh season right? One of my dive trps in tioman was made in early august n the water then was ady choppy. Resulted in poor visibility.
What more in october? Hope my question will not dampen your dive spirit, but just hope that the dive centre can assure the trip in october soon will be ok & worthwhile.

I've made some calls to the Perhentian Island and......it seems majority of dive centre closed after 15 October (some closed even earlier) Main reason......all the Mat Salleh sudah cabutss and of course the weather is unpredictable
- Coral View.......early October still open......resort still open till end of Oct
- Flora Bay.......dive centre closed
- Tuna Bay...... dive centre closed.....resort still open till end of Oct
- Arwana.........dive centre closed.... resort still open till end of Oct

The rates for 3D2N, twin sharing, standard room-aircond, meals and boat transfer:
-Arwana......RM338/person
-Flora bay....RM355
-Tuna bay....RM420
-Coral view...RM453

Diving charges (including equipment rental) : 1st dive RM90.....2nd RM80......and so on...

TG if you fly how many dives can you do..quite limited if you are spending 3D2N...Like the Instructors and Divemasters usually say " The Sea is Always there" Syed's package seems interesting as RM350-00 for dives and food. Divers are rugged people, We can sleep anywhere as long as it is clean. As for beginners..we can still start now..

Since I fly into KL on the 10th, I think it is safe to dive the next day onwards. I don't mind doing 4-5 dives only during my stay there.... just wanted to have the experience of diving in West M'sia... so far I've only dived in KK and the Maldives...

I've adopted my instructor's motto which is 'Diving should be fun' and that's why I never tried to push myself... just relax and do leisure dives as and when weather and time permits

Err....... if I'm not mistaken.......the problem arise when 'Flying after diving' which you need a minimum preflight surface interval of 12H..........'Diving after flying' is no problem........correct me if I'm wrong........somebody?..... Seamaster?

Dantot, u rite, need a min. 12 hr surface interval before flying. meaning, diver cannot go up to high altitude area otherwise they will get DCS due to nitrot gas in the body still not fully release.

For the dive in Terengganu (TGG) TGurl arrives at 2.00pm Sat..if we want to go in a Group..we drive on Sat. Spend nite in TGG. Next morning (Sunday 11th Oct) straight to Pulau Perhentian. I got msg from the chalet that many bookings after raya until mid october for the end season dive. We will do nite dive probably on 10 oct depending on weather. We could hang around and get to know each other if we stay at the same beach.

Puan Nadia, the dive mistress, gave me short explanation on diving, safety and equipment.
I have signed up and paid for (payment is by instalment) my classes - 1st theory class will be this Thursday. 1st pool session will be this Saturday.

Just to share with you guys that I have finished my second theory class last nite, but will have another theory class with Syed, the Dive Instructor, after Raya to finish it off (1 more chapter to go) b4 I sit for my exams...lol...

Last Saturday was my first scuba diving water session at Maybank Training Centre's swimming pool located in Bangi. It was exciting, challenging and enjoyable......I had Staff Sargeant Thunderbird (yes, it is his true name! and he is attached to the Angkatan Tentera M'sia (Army) @ Port Dickson) as my Dive Instructor on that day.

Next water session is slated for 26 September...still during Raya week but Dive Instructors are all a dedicated lot.

The island dive arranged by my dive school is set on 10, 11 and 12 October @ Pulau Lang Tengah.
I have confirmed my attendance as I will "graduate" after completing the required dives...Yeay!!

The weather was sunny......surprizingly although in the mainland was rainy.
The vizibility was not that good as expected.

My trip to Lang Tengah was absolutely unforgettable. However, since I was a newbie, I wasn't confident enuff to take TG's underwater camera to snap pictures...yeah, the weather was sunny, and visibility was clear as well. Lang Tengah is really beautiful but I can only show off above water pictures...All I can say is I am hooked and looking forward to more diving trips
