On my way back to Batu Pahat last weekend, i've been driving slower than usual trying to locate the auto speed cameras so hopefully i dont get another OPS SIKAP saman this year

My findings:
it's located at a straight overhead bridge or advertisement board, some is located at the corner of BIG TREE logo and some at the spotlight lamps to highlight the advertisement

Here's the location that i can share with some of you ( i might miss some of it too)

SOUTHBOUND (Ampang to Tangkak)

MRR2 (advertisement on Bulatan Cheras Baru - not sure of this one)
NSE (advertisement across Petronas near Sg Besi toll, before MINT Hotel)

After Sg Besi Toll
Overhead bridge at Kajang Exit
Overhead bridge at Bangi Exit
Overhead bridge at Seremban Exit
Overhead bridge at Pedas Linggi Exit
Overhead bridge at Simpang Empat/Tampin Exit

If any of you know the location of other auto speed cameras, pls share with other members here

thanks cuee24 - what do the cameras look like? been trying to look out for them rather unsuccessfully.

it's a small square camera, like the cctv and its located quite low on overhead bridge compared to cameras that monitors traffic flow which is located high on lamp posts
quite at the center on the road, look carefully at the advertising company signage or at the spotlight
i should have taken pictures of it and post here, lupa lak nak buat hari tu

some of them are not in operation i guess. ie elite USJ under the abandon bridge restaurant.
everyday twice 140 so far so good

OH MY GOD... do you mean those camera's that are black and squarish...not very big, just extending out of signage boards or direction posts? there are at least 6-10 of those along D'sara till the branching of Bukit Raja Toll in NKVE...i have been travelling 140-180 everyday to-and-fro la! how lei! where to check saman...? pls advice!

to test the camera is working or not, drive fast & send sms to DAPAT.
ie SAMAN WKS2876 to 32728

hahaha...zool sometimes the police only key in the summons after 2-3weeks...but if you don't get summons letter posted to you after 1 year or less...consider the camera is broken or not connected to the server...lol...who ever in charge in maintaining those speed cams sure got plenty of headache...since we never saw them in action after the installation...bila install pun eden tak tau...lalalala

Thanks for sharing. Anyone can help disclosing those speed camera location along NS Highway from KL to Ipoh? I've tried to see for myself but I cannot spot any.

Well, one time I spotted the traffic police lurking under one of the bridges (on the middle divider) after Tapah rest-stop. The poor guy had to squat to keep himself out of sight....

wat can i say is...sungkai near the waterfall got one...sabak bernam before the rest area got also...and the hill climb towards gua tempurung where the speed limit 90KM/H...

just checked.. no saman so far for my lancer but got 5 for my other ride.. but i didnt receive any saman... any idea what to do ? or just leave it..

The best is to state the km ..

i may not be a frequent travel to Johor or Ipoh or LPT.. so i am not familiar what bridge or exit.. so KM is more precise.. we do it slow2 la.. just to gather the info..

but i know kesas got 1 camera after summit heading to shah alam..

i downloaded like speed trap info and used it in my garmin (phone application) it will alert areas for police ambush, speed trap etc.. BUT as will beep if you drive exceed the speed limit of that particular area

e.g. Jalan Mahameru.. exceed 80km/h..it will start to beep...(mana tahan.. )

biasa nampak police with speed trap camera near Sri Petaling heading to S.Alam...before toll...

Firstly A Big Thank You to Cuee...Secondly there are several types of cameras on the Highway...1..Speed cameras fixed or mobile (police hand held) 2. Cameras to Monitor Traffic 3. Cameras to monitor sign boards/bill boards itself to see whether there is any demage due to birds droppings etc 4. Cameras in cars (reverse cameras)..,,Handfone cameras and many more Ha Ha.

so their N97 is modded to capture speed reading..?

I got one concern - we are publicly telling the camera location and we have got enforcement friends reading the forum... bro Phantom EX... ok ker? just to make sure only...

by the way I drive along kesas somewhere after the petrol station after awan besar yesterday afternoon , saw a policeman holding speed cam in my side mirror. d*mn i think kena one saman ady. travelling 120kmph and the speed limit is 80kmph.

then this morning receive a PDRM sms saying "berhati-hati di jalanraya ingatkan orang tersayang."

lancer inspired...i think this thread is ok...since the police also put signboard at the area where they monitor you...when traveling at the highway there will be signboard saying "anda sedang diperhatikan" at certain speeding prone area...well we can not blame them if they saman...since you had been warned 1st...and the place where the police were hiding sometimes very obvious one...usually by the time you noticed them...you ady got captured on camera...lol...

there were also thousand of "eyes" on the lamp all along the highway...
it can also sense the speed you are at..
so.. no worries for the Traffic Cops to stop someone afterwards..

no kidding man, it can't be that coincidence right? I think right after I kena speed camera, the next morning they enter the data into the system and probably it will generate one sms to give me a 'community service message'.

Been driving up the NSE during the recent Raya break and noticed several places with the Automated Speed Camera Detectors signboards.... Are they up and running already?
