ILLUSION

The flyover linking USJ to Federal Highway and Subang old airport road was opened a couple of months back. But until today, it has not solved the traffic condition. Infact, it has only made it worst. The roundabout at Jalan Kewajipan is almost at a standstill in the evening. This is due to the bottleneck at Summit traffic lights. When the traffic from the flyover and Jalan Kewajipan meets at the traffic lights, the jam is so terrible that it will spill over to NPE and the rest of the roads in S. Jaya.
Even when it was still under construction, we could tell that it is pointless unless the bridge is taken all the way to USJ. And not to mention the parents of Sri Kuala Lumpur who will park anywhere, everwhere when sending and picking up their children from school. Sigh!

as usual....no proper planning before implementation...surveyors got survey for 4 hrs. 15 minutes survey 3hrs 45mins minum kopi/tt.
the same goes for JLN Kuching.... build this build that...but still bloody jammed.

I agree, and like your idea of having the fly-over extended all the way to USJ. Cause most USJ residents use Kewajipan. If the flyover starts after Summit, then there is no point. USJ residents still have to jam all the way to the traffic lights like before.

I have used that highway once on a sunday... the flow of coz was fantastic, but i do agree the exit is a "cut q" and the backlog will be a serious matter to other lanes...

Well it depends on who where the traveller is coming from. Me & my wife benefit from this new flyover. My wife usually exits Seafield toll to go to Kota Dsara toll. Now she don't even take the toll to Kota Dsara instead from Summit - flyover - Terminal 3 - Kota Dsara. This journey now cuts her time by 10 mins travel and she saves on the toll RM3.2 daily.
Me, the jam from S Alam exit at Summit Subang is now shorter and its cuts the travel time as well for me.

yo guym, ever heard of a paragraph? lol
anyway i think they should have just made the flyover right to USJ, since there is where most ppl using the flyover would be heading from or coming from anyway...

yes, guym best if the flyover passes over the Summit intersection - big bottleneck.
it seems to be useful to me during my trips to QS (I avoid SJ during peak hours anyway - dont live there), still get stuck at summit.
add 500,000++ new vehicles on the road every year and I guess this is the impact.

this is purely improper planning & they don't talk to each other within transportation & local authority..
is it possible they don't know what is the future plan etc? naa... so most likely somebody is gaining the benefit here...
here is the future LRT line to USJ, you can see how they lencong the line just to avoid the 3 bridges at the roundabout..

Agree. The flyover simply not go far enough. It should go all the way crossing KESAS and land at Summit... that will clear the Summit interchange bottleneck

planning i snot done properly, it does help abit n less travel distance from usj sj to federal n airport subang... but watchout for the road condition, the ramp from old airport to the new bridge is a trap. there's a bump right at the entering corner, travel high speed n u might meet the wall direct, coz when ur car bump up n fly, ur turn is useless... end up u bang the wall... saw few case liao

Totally agree with Alxand on the bump but they if smoothen that, then it''ll be nice to whack that corner and the next 20R.

followed by long straight

up to 190kmh
