It will take a big scoop of fortune for MU to go unbeaten and I think only Arsenal is capable of at least catching up. And no....the title race is definately not over yet cos MU away form is not so convincing. But I agree the title is for MU to lose.

The pivotal moment may have been the removal of Rooney, whose weekly wage would cover that of Blackpool's entire team plus the seven substitutes and still leave more than enough change for Karl Oyston to pay someone to fix Bloomfield Road's faulty boiler.

Torres have submitted a transfer request just after Pool have signed Suarez. Am interested to hear what football fans think about this. Could it be another Rooney story or issit gonna go thru. And how the h*ll is he gonna fit into Chelsea's plan with Drogba there.
Transfer request TorresFor me no one is bigger than club, so if the price is like 40-50M then it should be OK. Just hope King Kenny will use the money wisely.

Jan 29 2011, 11:42 AM
actually this news is good for liverpool, not chelsea.. looking at what torres has deliver this season,
torres should price at 20-25mil (no offence)... if last season, the price should be double..
like mild said, half of the team should be sold.. for the sake of the top 4, i support this..
suarez is more a poacher, so a good feeder should do..

Price is adjudged on a whole/overall/average performance basis and not on current season....thats why the initial offer was around 35M. But for me if Chelski offer 50M then Pool shud take d opportunity. BUT then not enuf time to buy new players to rebuild in January.

Jan 29 2011, 04:44 PM
i disagree
the price of the players should depends on many aspect not only current form...( nationality.international caps. form, versatility , contract status )
if in this case lets pick mat runi ( rooney )... he is worth 7.3 million pound for me...he did assist but seldom scores this season... and how on earth berbatov value is more than torres?.... man ..pls consider....
example.... ROONEY
current form 4/10
goals 3/10
thus value 7.3 million...<------ i disagree as he is 1st eleven in england squad and he is worth 30millions at least...

Panic buy panic buy alert.
If the deal don't get thru with torres and anelka staying put, it would interesting to see how they would react to playing remaining season. Must half-hearted only performance surely drops. Good for Man Utd and the rest of the chasing pack.
That big-teeth suarez looks a good deal. He's mobile and proven goal scorer, but being another South American, he may end up like Diego Forlan (he likes Liverfool soooo much, he scores plenty against them!) and Robinho - take time to settle or won't settle at all. And scorer needs feeding... Who's in Liver that would feed him on regular basis - other than Gerard himself.
