hmm...true for every point. A good run in UCL will generate a lot of money cos of bigger teams, thus bigger stadiums and better sponsors. Out of UCL is indeed very depressing, but the damage has already been done....so the next best thing is to win Europa Cup, but then again unless Pool can improve, the outlook looks not too good.

I really wonder how much difference in income can be generated by teams going to finals in UCL and Europa(UEFA) Cup...anybody care to enlighten us.....DK perhaps?? :biggrin: :biggrin:

From last nites shows it was obvious we missed Alonso so very much.....and I thought RM were unlucky to lose. If they had taken their chances early then the match would have been theirs. Old horse Puyol was simply outstanding with his last ditch saving tackles, Messi was simply being Messi....superb. And CR7 is a real menace even just coming out of injury.

But seriously, there are more money invovled/hidden which includes the sponsorships' mileage, merchandising and etc.. But all this is hard to measure.. In short.. You lose h*ll lot of money for crashing out of UCL knock out stages..

just get TV revenue figures then the loss will be known..........its ok la..sh*t happens once in awhile.....every club goes thru it

TV revenue will only give you indication, still cannot tabulate the actual revenue lost as there are lot's of hidden factors... hehehe.. Ya, agreed, all clubs WILL go through some sh*tty turbulence times once in a while.. For me, it has been a while and how low can you get.. We've almost hot rock bottom, so the only way is UP.. hehehe..
