yday...tried again..initially kenot

then test at esther house ok....then realise my ps3 kenot connect to 1080p...only up to 1080i..........not sure wats the prob...any solutions?...i think all the while also i have not been connecting to 1080p....

when i connect to 1080p...the screen will go blank (for testing) then only the the accept menu will come out n flicker for 1 second b4 return to the display menu..so means cant render at 1080p...........

ter-the ps3 slim prob is due to firmware 3.01...one of the bugs i think....but mine 3.00 takkan same case?

econs the 1080p result u get is almost similar to mine... and cannot be 3.01 firmware problem as the ps3 slim ships with 2.85 and it still the same when i chg to 1080p..

could be ur cable faulty or another reason could be the grounding wire. Ps3 phat comes with 3 pin while ps3 slim only 2 which means no grounding, thats y i ask u to try another power socket to see if got any difference.

sigh now using 1080i only..

i have no prob using Panasonic HDMI with my PS3..maybe yr cable too long??

i dun have any branded one... both also ciplak one... but the weird thing is the cheaper one if i use get the static noise interference symptoms as u.

if i use the slightly more exp one, i get the same flicker and blank problem like u did too...

btw, i thought the lcd at esther's place can only support 720p?

tried seperating power point same outcome...tonite must try if spk's ps3 can play on 1080p on my LCD.......according to my another fren on the same LCD as me...his can play 1080p...he using hori hdmi gold cable

try pinjam his HDMI cable to test and see...

press display on TV remote, sor hai! then u can see it immeditalye

just press the round OK button in the middle... the reso will show up at the bottom part of the screen...

hmm... actually HDMI cable really make different... remember the HD Media Box i bought from Taipei last month? it comes with the HDMI 1.3b cable... you know la... my house up and down stairs also got few HDMI cables, i don't bother to use the cable supplied with this unit, at last... the movie shown sometimes will go blank for a few seconds and on it back.. sometimes just go blank like that...

after i change to the supplied HDMI1.3b cable, the problem don't occurs anymore...

fyi, my other HDMI cable are branded... not cap ayam... from Sony, Panasonic and Giraffe or something... conclusion is those HDMI cable should be older version whereby new devices like your PS3 slim for instance should running on HDMI1.3 protocol... that's y u have this problem...

I am welcome you to my place to test your PS3 since i got few types of HDMI cables for you to test.. but I feel your problem is come from the cable, but not the LCD TV....

me no ps3 slim la.....my prob solved......using the THINNER cable can use 1080p dy...braided kenot

funny thing is koonx's ps3.....use thin and braided both can but thin is clearer than braided
