Ok to bakar you guys on the upcoming 50th Anniversary RMAF Golden Jubilee Open Day at Subang AFB. The Base will be opened for Public the whole day!...
Here's the itinerary for the aerial display on 1st June 2008 (Sunday):
0900-0908hrs : Airfield attack by Hawks; paradrop by CN-235 and Nuri troop extraction
0910 : 1 x F/A-18D Hornet Solo Display
0922 : 3 x MIG-29N Tactical Display
0934 : 1 x Pilatus PC-7 Solo Display
0942 : 1 x Sukhoi SU-30MKM Solo Display
The abovementioned sequence will be repeated for afternoon session slot at 1400hrs-1500hrs.
There's also static displays displaying RMAF aircraft inventory. Also booths selling souvenirs and stuff.
On 31st May (Saturday) there will be a marching parade at RMAF Subang in conjunction with RMAF Day. It is not meant to be viewed by public on this day. There will be 50 aircraft of different sorts i.e jets, fixed wing as well as rotary (heli) making a fly past. A formation of 20 PC-7 will make a 'figure 50' fly pass.
To view this, one needs to go to 'plane spotting' spots e.g. beside runway after AIROD (kedai seafood there) or somewhere near Old Terminal 1 or Kg Subang...

USS KITTY HAWK is more than enough to destroy whole malaysia :)
went to Kuantan last week. Landed at the airport, but before that i saw the F18 and Fulcrum parked at the hangar, some towing at the side of the runway....great planes....
Are you sure Singapore has F35? I know they just bought F15.

they not yet has F35 but planning to purchase only lar i think.
New war started on 08.08.08 - Russia vs Georgia. Guess the date is not auspiscious on that part of the region and it will be remembered for a wrong reason. 
On the conflict, hmm... how would Georgians fares against apparently better equipped Russians?

Georgians will be crushed.
The war reminded me of Germans invading Russia. The hats they used are still the same as WWII
Today's news said the Georgians has thrown in the towel - only after 4 days - already. They asked for cease fire but the Russians rejected it.
If the war continues, Georgia's only chance is guerilla war considering its inferior military - head-on encounter is suicidal considering the odds. The Russians do seem to be not very savvy dealing with that tactic having lost considerable men during the Checnya (correct spelling?) conflict not long ago.
But the the country will be ravaged as the war will be fought on its soil.
