I always drive my old wira to work while my wife use Lancer. Everytime in that car I drive I always sleepy, all the way of my 30km journey (1 way). But sometimes when I use Lancer, i;m not sleepy at all. The driving behavior, timing, road use, which lane to take are all same, its just different car give me bad sleepiness. Dunno why.

My assumptions are:
1) CO2/ exhaust gas penetrate inside a/cond. Can this the case coz i always heard cases stay long inside not moving car with a/cond "on" can cause exhaust gas into a/cond. I dont know how exhaust can get inside that HVAC system of not movign car.

2) air cond filter not change. I must admit my old wira have not change a/cond filter for quite some time, I think 2-3 years ady. Can bad aroma of air cause sleepiness?

maybe driving ur old car doesnt make u more alert of ur surroundings...if driving lancer sure always alert... sayang kereta maa...hehe..anyway thats just my opinion...

on the better note, axe you need to get the car bacteria free...or spray some antibacteria thingy inside the car...maybe got some mold colony formed inside the car due to the humidity...check yor carpet...dashboard...aircond system...

Hopefully this only happens when u are driving old and new cars... LOL

But I do believe in keeping the ventilation system in the car in good working order as it is possible to inhale some co / co2 from the older cars.

i can easily sleepy if i drive slow or the traffic itself slow, like traffic jam...no matter wat car..

but maybe onslaught is rite...lack of ethusiasm when drive other car..when drive lancer, semangat sentiasa berkobar-kobar gitu...

I dun know the reason but I experienced the same thing with my old Wira & Kenari.

My friend said putting an air ioniser in the car helps. I've not tried it becos I dun have this problem with Lancer.

if d slim one layan me i sure very 'awake'
if d plump one layan me i sure very 'sleepy'

it's d psychology that matters here....
and another point...i never touch more than 140km/h in a wira....but i do that all d time in a Lancer!!!

also stock wira can be quieter so maybe that's why you sleepy.....(no 18's, Trust)

most probably you are not enjoying ur drive as what you enjoy during driving lancer... or maybe all the funny noises that an old car make is putting you to sleep..

if your assumption about the CO2 is true, i think u must fast fast go body check up and buy gao gao ur insurance.

i think most properly is about ours Hormon Adrenalin , ours lancer ECU will pump more this hormon to ours brain more compare with wira.

My guess would be :

1) with Wira - u already know the car's ability / limit. (nothing much to explore)
2) with LGT - still finding way to push the car to the limit
3) lack of clean air (less oxygen)
4) poor vision due to front windscreen.
