Thought 2nd time running LGT got stolen? First one at TTDI where the car was hijacked when owner alighted from it. About time we make noise to MMC/MMM to have Captor (or similar device) installed as standard to all LGTs.

the buglar came in through the front window by removing the grill. me and my family are okay as i always lock my bedroom door when i go to bed.

my car is stock GT, no mods whatsoever..

again, really appreciate all the well wishes given to me and my family...today has been a really busy day for me. starting as early as 7am in making the police report. then quickly called various banks to have my credit and atm cards cancelled. after that, stopped by at the NRD and RTD to make a new NRIC and driving license - which by the way, i just realized has been expired since Sept 2009. that mean i have been driving in my late GT without a valid license for almost 4 months already

yup, now puchong is fast becoming like another 'subang jaya' area - a lot of break-ins, car-jacking cases being reported lately...

so those living in puchong (or anywhere else for that matter), always be vigilance of your surrounding...make sure you lock your bedroom door when going to bed and do not leave your house/car keys anywhere else but in the bedroom at night. believe me, i've learnt that the hard way! door and window grills means nothing to those buggers. they even burnt down the alarm sensor wires at the window to disable the alarm, right before they took out the grill...

ohh where is my GT now...i'm sure she's d*mn lonely out there, all alone without me

everything was standard 2008 GT with original rims, bumper, color and etc

i feel you bro. as my house in taman kinrara was broken in after Raya end sep. came in around 4-5 am from the back door while we were asleep. well they took alot of things but they did not take my car, they even left my car and house key in the small basket where they took my wallet and my phones. they could have use the house key to open the main door and drive my GT away. furthermore my GT was parked outside.

btw..sorry to hear that..i'm from puchong too..specifically bdr kinrara..agree with you guys, puchong now become really dangerous..my brother's car was stolen once (satria), and found the car with nothing inside..my other brother car (integra) window was break in and the speedometer was stolen.

really learnt from that..always kept your car key with u when sleep.

heard from a few friends that normally insurance company will only cover 80% of the car current market value. if that is really the case, then insurance company is doing a daylight robbery on its consumers. what's the use of us consumers paying a high premium on the car insurance?

hi chrome, you should quickly call your insurance agent now to inform them about it... they will guide you what to do next... they may guide you what to say and not say in your police report also

Sorry to hear of your car. B thankful that no one was hurt. I too had the same experience and lost a car in the process.

On the insurance claim, insurance company will pay less than market value but before you accept this get help from bank negara on this matter and you might get your full claim.

Calling Ken Wong...help and advise needed.
Ken once told us how he managed to get full 100% coverage for his stolen Honda CRV if I'm not mistaken after some tactful nego with his insurance company. You might wanna PM him and "pester" our friendly KenWong for some advise.

I just get my new car. according the SA first yr the insurns is fully cover means can claim in 1 to 1 of your car price (100%). but second yr and following will depend on insurans company market price. normally will lower than standard market price.
right now the robbery is terrible. just share a story with ur one of my friend from the JB area kene hijack of his car. my friend has install the anti-hijack system n his car. need to carry the small scan card with driver (either put in ur pocket or wallet) the car just can drive otherwise after few second the car will automatic stop. but robbery is so clever. he rob my friend hp, wallet and car. before run away, robbery was ask my friends take out all the cloth and leave in car. so the car was kene driver away becoz my friend put the scan card in pocket.
so anyone of u want to install the security system in ur car need to re-consider again..above jus for ur information

already informed the insurance company, and have faxed to them a copy of the police report....now waiting for their adjuster to call me for statement.

any advice on how i can go about in making the insurance claim as max as i can is greatly appreciated...

Check with Bank Negara on your insurance claim of 100%. They can advise u better. DONT LISTEN TO INSURANCE COMPANY TELLING YOU THAT IS THE BEST CLAIM. BN IS YOUR BEST CHOICE.

Sorry for your fren's lost bro.. thats is not pure anti hijack bro... that is immobilizer function..
Sometime many owners confused about anti hijack & immobilizer..

Anti hijack = you make the car engine dead by ur own for safety reason do it after 5-10mins which theft is far away.. otherwise they will come back to chop u kaw kaw..

Immobilizer = Depending on product certain is without the card / pen within the infra bus, the engine wont start, some is without the card car still can start but within 30seconds engine dead..

Sorry my info might not be agreed with certain people, but as my company dealing with such products, so i guess this will be alittle guidelines.

yupz, its true. All Insurance Companys in Msia was under Bank Negara monitoring & rules. If car stolen case, insurance company only will release insurance claim after 6 month from date of claim made. the 6 month period of time is for police to searching the stolen car. so, during that 6 month period, u need to continue pay the bank car loan.. sorry to say that bro

fyi, robber of course will change number plate since the incident..Did you done sand blasting to your windscreen/window glass? Easy for me to trace your car. I'll help u on that once i find the grey GT.
