Our client is an US multinational company and one of the world's leading producers of formaldehyde and resins. In order, to meet their continuous growth, we invite self-motivated and suitable candidates for the following positions, to be based in Prai, Penang

Role:

- To carry out R&D projects for new product development, improvement of the existing products and processes, and technical related functions, in a safe manner.
- To prepare roadmaps for all key processes, materials, equipments & technical support.
- To develop and realize new project management concepts.
- To structure and maintain quality records and provide up to date training on new methods.
- To investigate customer complaints related to product quality and application properties.
- To develop, adopt adequate testing and analytical methods as well as maintain SAP system.
- To supervise and train all direct reports (R&D Technicians).


Remuneration:

RM 4,000 to RM 5,000

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or equivalent.
- Required skill(s): Good technical skills in problem solving, data analysis, statistical design, DOE & safety, six sigma.
- Experience in research for polymers/adhesives and the use of analytical tools in a chemical or process industry will be an added advantage.
- Some broad technical experience and laboratory experience will an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and commitment to customer focus
- A team player with attention to detail and the ability to manage & generate results
- Worked in ISO 9001:2000 system/equivalent quality system registered company. Experience with Environmental System would be added advantage.
- Preferably a registered member of the Institute Chemistry of Malaysia (IKM)
- Required Language : English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
- At least 5 year(s) or more working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Prai.
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Chemistry or equivalent.
