however, it was produced by HTC, i inticipate that is shall be another HTC Hero type of touch sensitive screen but not iphone's type, so it might not be that ideal still. i just wonder why at per today, interal still at 4gb... ya, 32GB Sd is cheap enuf.. but why only a mere 4gb internal? haiz.

however, Android definitely better than WM to me.

e.g, i hate blackberry for personal reason as it gave me no life, but for people who are into it, they cant live without it.

I carry both 2G and 3GS(office standard issue).

Now three things I hate about iPhone:

1. Battery life span
2. Email download, very slow! Most of the time, can see email but cannot open.
3. It won't sync 100% from your outlook. ie contact data

web browsing...nice

for business purposes, I reckon blackberry is the best.

Still...it won't look cool to place it next to your RM15 coffee, during business social meetings...hahaha

i like 3GS...reason being

- is fast
- lots of apps..either free or paid
- precise touch screen..is by far the most accurate touch screen on the market now...still
- stunning graphic

bro you could even consider HTC Legend....not as fast as Desire but cheaper and feature packed as well. I'm also interested to hear any user experience using Legend and Desire.

The OS is very good one

He is too busy " rooting " his new toy

review? lol.. best phone i have ever used so far... the user interface is fast and smooth even after i install tons of apps...

best part about it is the integration with all the google apps online... once u put in ur gmail or google acc in.. it will pull all the contacts from gmail.

basically u can just update gmail as ur contacts and just press the sync button on the phone, all ur contacts will be sync wireless either via wifi or 3g... no need cable all.... the only time i did use the cable was to copy my contacts from my prev phone from outlook.

another great feature is the facebook integration, all ur contacts from gmail will be linked to FB, with their profile pic being loaded as their contact image...all done automatically...

one thing the desire has over the nexus is the htc sense ui, which is great for multitasking... they have this feature called scene in which u get 7 "desktops" screen that u can put widgets and apps and just cycle through them by flicking the screen. and if that isnt enough. u can have multiple versions fo scenes for work, play, music, etc...

to me this phone has sort of replace the netbook, i can do almost everything a netbook can. multitask, surf the net, do online banking, surf the forums, read news, watch video.. and best part FLASH is supported!

desire comes with Android 2.1 but will soon be getting the latest 2.2 which is supposedly much faster and has full flash player 10 support...

only cons i can think of is the battery life... 1400mAh is not really enough..lol normally just enough for 1 day... but there is a cool feature in there which can show u which app took up the most amount of battery..

anyway cant complain much about the bat since the desire has a 1ghz processor which apparently is capable of playing and recording 720p HD videos...

the amount of apps is still low compared to apple but its growing... this are just some of the free aps i found to be great:

1. aDyno - dyno app to measure ur car's HP and torque
2. barcode scanner - scan any barcode to get info or price of that product. can evan scan them to get URLs to a app sometimes
3. chirplite - push to talk app... great for saving money on calls
4. gmote - control ur pc using the desire as remote via wifi
5. shazam - it can listen to any music u hear and tell u what song/artist
6. Nav Launcher - speech supported GPS navigation system mod since officially this is only available in the US

I think the battery life span for all HTC phones suck big time. Ever since their O2 and dopod days. I know cause I'm a fan of 'em since O2.

my data plan is only rm55 per mth for 500mb... for me is enough la to surf, download app, fb..

for GPS there are some paid app, or u can use the free included google maps, which u can enabled car navigation by downloading a mod-app

Bro, some apps are custom for Samsung oni. I think the Think Free Office Mobile App is for the Samsung only :) But not surelah..

I just got the Desire at the beginning of this month from Maxis. Awesome phone. Awesome OS. Rooted and now upgraded to Froyo (2.2)
