I have lost my male beagle yesterday nite at 9.45pm at Bandar Baru Sg Buloh.

Accidentally did not close my auto gate and he ran off.

Was wearing a red leash with a bell.

Hope so coz I've being warn by several friends and vetsn ... all hound dog 90% never came back to owner due to their distinguish behavior.... which is they like to sniff.... and the nose guides where they go and not the brain.... :'(

I'm really sorry to hear this, I know exactly how you feel. Do you take him for walks regularly? If you do then he'll find his way back.

The microchip doesn't make much of a difference here in malaysia coz not all Vet clinic has the scanner and not all vet clinic uses the microchip number when treating a pet. So, please don't blame yourself for not putting the microchip.

Try putting up posters around your neighbourhood, check RSPCA and Paws if any dogs were found.

Let's pray that he'll be back.

i think bunnie ask bout the microchip coz of identification feature............coz some ppl who find the dogs sometimes dispute the ownership.....

How big ah.... I live in the outer part near the shop house which is almost near the main road..... what scare me now is it is link to Rahman Putra as well and the deeper part is almost link to highway area.

Only can say that my beagle has no sense of directions.... so I can only think of 3 situation he is now
1. Still wandering around but surely out of my taman.
2. Someone took it since was wandering more than 30 minute which we only knew he was no longer in car porch.
3. Dreadful ending as he don't know to avoid cars and like to chase them (pray don't let this happen, rather prefer situation 2 to happen)

Anyway, will get the poster done by today and distribute it around. Not sure what time I able be back home as well, Terion.

Yesterday evening I ask around and thru some of the witnesses statement I found someone who knew who have pick him up.

Confront the picker and told me yes he pick up one beagle and tot was his neighbor dog but was not and my Timothy was at his compound. Gave me the address and I went to his house only to find disappointment as the wife of the picker told me my Tim ran off again from the house around 6.30-7.00pm (i reach around 8.00pm) and told me should be still around the neighbourhood and again I go treasure hunting till 11.30pm with no luck.

Now I know he is in Bukit Rahman Putra around BRP 4, saw a lancer around BRP 4/8.. wonder if a member there can help me out (did not record the plate number as I was walking and shouting for my dog)

Oh dear so close to get him. Stay positive you will find him tonight.

Will take half day leave today and go again that neighbourhood and hope can see my pup as i distribute all the flyer to house to house post box

and MY GOD.... there is a lot of house with dog there... imagine great daine (scooby doo type of dog) also have...... so HUGE!!!! Many golden retriver and etc dogs

Your beagle is quite friendly allowing a stranger to pick him up. Most beagles are quite aloof to strangers and can only be lured with FOOD. Hang in there and hope you find your dog soon.

I'm sure someone who have taken him in last night maybe that's why you couldn't find him. You will definitely find him tonight, just stay positive.

You may need to knock on few doors to check if they have him inside.

I lost my Silky 1 years ago, accidently he went out when i came back from drink. Can not chase him back coz that time too drunk until can't walk in strict line.
I stay in house area with guard house, mean they are only 1 way in and out. I round whole taman and shout for name but.........
is gone...., people had taken from me.

I also have encountered many times my shitzhu running out from the house. Bear in mind I have 3 shitzhus (2 female and 1 male) in my house.

Case 1 - I went out for dinner and forgotten to lock the sliding door window. My dog actually manage to squezze out from the window and run out of the house. When I came home and find my doggie missing,my heart sank. I quickly run out from the house frantically shouting my dog name and thankfully my neighbour found my dog and kept it inside their house (they even bathe my dog because she was wet running under the rain).

Case 2 - My mum forgotten to close the main gate thus my other doggie ran out from the house. It was more than 30 mins when we found that we forgotten to close the gate and true enugh our dog ran out. We panic and start to shout the dog name. My mum even took the car and drive around the neighbourhood and thankfully manage to find him.

I have an idea. Does your beagle plays with any toys that emitts sound?If yes, then you can use that toy to attract your dog to bark when you pass by all your neighbour house while using the toy as a 'calling card'. Hope it helps.

Good idea.. his toy... but.. whistle he bitten it off liao wor... only leaking air sound don know he can hear or not....

Do try it. His toys or towel etc...anything which can attract your dog attention. Dogs have a good sense of smell and sound.

Med, if you want to lure your beagle to make noise so you can find him, the best way is to playback the beagle pack hunting sound. Beagles are hunting dogs that hunt in pack. They communicate through their howling/baying. If they hear their pack calling, 90% they will respond. I had tested this on my beagles before. Works all the time.

Yesterday he ran from BRP 4 end up at traffic light and was took buy another person. The dad call me earlier at 8.00pm as I finish distributing the flyer.
