Kenapa Proton tak jual harga macam kat Arab Saudi?
Apa istimewanya orang Arab?

Kata ”Rakyat didahulukan”…..
Kenapa orang Arab lebih diutamakan?

Haaaa…..Jawapannya ialah…..Pemilik Proton di Malaysia semuanya dah kena tipu …..Hahaha

Harga Persona kat Saudi = SR 36,100
Harga Gen2 kat Saudi = SR 33,600
Harga Waja kat Saudi = SR 37,950

1 Saudi Riyal = RM 0.94

Maknanya harga Persona kat Saudi = RM 33,934 aje
Maknanya harga Proton Gen2 kat Saudi = RM 32,256 aje
Maknanya harga Waja kat Saudi = RM 35,673 aje

1 Malaysia bayar RM 66,799.97 untuk 1 Waja di Msia!
RM31,126.97 lebih MAHAL! down.gif

It is by choice if you ask me. Your money your choice. If you choose not to buy because you felt cheated, you can always opt a cheaper car or alternatively, walk, ride a bike, or whatever. If you feel it's not expensive, go ahead and buy. Nobody forces anybody in this case. All are by CHOICE.
Unforgiven
Jeddah ppl are much more richer than us I guess...
We M'sian are rich too, if you are g related?

haha...that is a choice la et. if you do not want to use public transport, isn't that your choice? vice versa, if you want to use public transport, that IS your choice. life is about choosing. example, the doctor says you cannot eat rambutan because it will make your heart stops pounding and you'll die. So, you choose not to eat rambutan because it's a life threatening food. but if you still want to eat it, it's your choice. betul? biggrin.gif

Everyone's got their own point there....

For me i guess there's no fault for government to sell national cars relatively more 'expensive' than it's selling overseas...
Reason is that this is a national car and the government knows that we Malaysians will support national cars...
and of course the fact that even tho it's selling more expensive it's STILL the cheapest affordable car in Malaysia...
and the Proton name has been around for almost 30 years, people will definitely have some confidence in the name...

This is the other way round for overseas....
How many foreigners know the name Proton?
If u r staying in a foreign country and u hear Proton manufactured by Malaysia, will u buy?
Proton already lose out in terms of branding in foreign countries....
so they have to make up in terms of attractive pricing...
prolly that's the reason Protons are selling 'cheaper' overseas than in Malaysia....

Of course just my humble 2 cents... sleep.gif
ettan28
true but not 100% true....

my house got no public transport also... so its not my 'choice' kaakak

Bro,

Your statement does not cover whole layer of communities. CHOICES are available only for them who can CHOOSE, what about who cant? Whatever RMK did gov plan, it always didnt cover enough for the poor, always there;s hidden agenda. Imagine a family with 6 kids, father only work as a clerk while mother as an accountant assistant, their income will not be able to cope all the living expenses in KL or Selangor, they need bigger vehicle so Exora basic is their only option, they have to BUY to at least live the life like others, no choice, BUT they have to cut down everything to pay for the installment including meals, only eat cheap2 one and dont have enough nutrition, I've been inside those leader's underground world, it's full of corruption and i really like want to shoot them when they just wasted our money like that, one of the biggest i've seen is an angpow worth 2mil.

no politics or related to politician names pls.

1stly you have to understand the price of our cars. There is a component which is duties and taxes, even for local cars. This is money doesnt go to proton.

when you buy a car, you're taking a loan to pay these extra "charges".

2ndly Malaysian cars are like korean products in the past (and like china products now) - need to sell cheaper to penetrate market and build brand. if sell same as japanese how to enter market? I think someone posted this same point before.

FMSLMR
Hi There,

I'm looking for second hand lancer...is there anyone can help me...not so expesive lol...:-) biggrin.gif
poknik
Very much dissapointed...having cheap cars is not all that matter.

The cost of living in the Arab countries are just over the roof!

Do you want to pay more on your car or your necessities...?

For some of the markets they've entered I was some how involved.

The reason why we are expensive is the excise duty.

I'm not backing the G...but please do your homework before you brag on something irrelevant.

the former insider has spoken.

this topic is becoming hotter. pls be tactful by not
including politics/politicians. or your post will be
deleted without further notice. thanks for your
understanding.

yes mr gaban ... agree with on this .....

i think government is protecting Proton too much ....their quality is worst until the Perodua (strongly backed by Toyota) coming to the scene and knocked them down heheh (same case like air asia vs MAS la i guess)

I have a believe if they really liberate the market ... proton will find their ground back ....

what to say ..... this is Bolehland ......... it is something like the air that I hv to breathe ..... haish ...
