TM Net juga menyediakan perkhidmatan IPTV, TV over internet protocol.

Harga package HSBB UniFi :

  • 5 Mbps " RM 149
  • 10 Mbps " RM199
  • 20 Mbps " RM249

[rujuk sini]

Apa macam? Ada rasa nak subscribe tak?

Umum mengetahui HSBB menggunakan fiber optic and rasanya ada yang korang pernah dengar terms macam fiber to home connection, bermaksud ia ala wired connection.
Kalau dah pakai fiber, type of connection paling reliable in data networking

I've been told that you need to sign a 5 year contract with TM for this service. Not sure if its true...
eldiablo
they've been diggin up the road near duta area to lay the fibres already - hope it comes soon!

or do they need to redo the cabling for entire building (like Astro HD) first?
Nick277
i register interest for this about 2 months ago. nobody contact me yet. i check and Puchong only in Q3 2010... knowing telekom i think that means Q4 in reality?

Compare their country size with ours and also their law with ours, so far i never get any letter from provider here to sue me for downloading pr0n or mp3z, try that in singapore and you sure will get letter from their cyber security department. Loads of bandwidth and speed but no torrenting and freedom of the internet, every packet analyzed, like in prison, for now, dont just think about money, think also about freedom bro.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — Telekom Malaysia has moved to tweak unpopular terms and conditions to its high-speed broadband service, UniFi, just a day after its launch.

yerp bro, more worse in china, they have big firewall blocking incoming and outgoing at the provider level, no freedom at all.
ZeN
went to tmpoint to enquire but really a lot of people. Long, non moving queue and I was rushing for time. Will try to be early the next round.
ActionKamen
i don't see this as providing services to whole malaysia. i think malaysia or TM hasn't ready for this.

nice zen, i'm still waiting... i guess Q3 for my area. can you try
http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?flash=1

and see what's the speed like to US sites? would like to know if the routing is the same as streamyx network. thanks.

p.s. also can u test latency? ping to somethin lol

cepat nya
ZeN
As requested.

Just to note, international bandwidth really depends on the congestion of the remote server and tm's links and not a full reflection of the service bandwidth.

Latency on the other hand looks to be same with streamyx

Nick277
correct. so getting HSBB will greatly increase your downloads if you are downloading from malaysia based servers or maybe singapore. don't expect jump in youtube speed cos it'll still be slow i guess.

u think ftp to overseas will be faster though with download mgr

So i think not so much use compare to streamyx if the speed abroad is the same. For example, for me, 90% of the time i use to browse site overseas, downloading file hosted overseas, i think most of us do.

Anyone on HSBB, can you also get a ping test from pingtest.net? Here is mine, 1Mbps streamyx package;

As you can see, it's really poor latency.

I'm getting Time Telekom into my apartment. It's on a trial basis, 5Mb/s with boost up to 50Mb/s for x number of hours per month for super fast downloads. Plus you get all Astro channels including their HD channels. Hopefully they will settle on a price of RM250 per month for this package.

Their supposed to install it today, will let you fellas know how good the speed is and astro services. Finally, no more rain disruption !
