A friend is asking me to make an offer for his car as he knows that I love this car. How much should I offer???

Cars owned by enthusiast mainly for showing off, strictly not for

functions in KL only. Driven out of Klang Valley area only a few times and
furthest to Lumut's Damai Laut Resort (once), to Kuantan's Club Med (once)
and to Johor's Charity Drive with Audi Club (once). Reason for selling:
owner leaving the country.

All-in-all more than RM75,000 spent on the car on mods, paintjobs and
enhancements, excluding frequent expensive service at Euromobil only.

what ever he threw on the car if he want to let it go used car dealer, they will only pay according to market price; and if only they want to buy it as heavily custom car is harder to sell.. if he is really a good friend of yours, 10% higher than market price will be a nice offer and make him believe that u will make sure the car to be well maintain n given a very good care.. i'm sure when later he get back here, he want to see this car again as he has done a lot to it before..

200K sounds reasonable enough...lalala...more than that...better get yourself a brand new golf GTI MK6 or the scirocco...the mods and all things is according to his own taste...but how abt your taste? coz after this you gonna look after the car...just me 2 cent...lalalala

I have seen used 2007 modified Golf GTI mk V being sold at those prices and it is not even comparable to the Audi B7 Quattro....and with all the power mods done, I would say 175k is fair price.

conti car, 1st year depreciation at least 20% and then 10% for subsequent years.

to me, i dont really find the price is attractive, coz the mod parts are additional things to consider. and come to think of it, if end of the day, car sold to dealer,, owner probably will get back 15% of the costs at most.

brand new Audi A4 now at rm238888, IIRC la. i would anytime buy the latest gen.

unless u want all mod parts and dont mind to take on the high price, then its a good buy la although i still think that its a bit overpriced.

i think that is for the 1.8 model la, the S-line edition...not 2.0. The B8 2.0 Quattro is selling for 310k la bro.

Golf GTI and A4 pricing has better value compared to other Contis purely bcos they have their own niche market...a quick check in mudah.my & Star classified will prove this.

sean has also got a good point - dont buy this car for 2nd hand value - buy it because you like it and can love it like the previous owner did!

only thing is interior is a little on the smallish side (compared to our monster)
might want to check up what are issues to look out for though....

He is working in Bahrain. He comes back every 4 months. I thought, the owner don't have to be around to sign the docs. So he left last week. Now he is making arrangements to come back again. But don't know when exactly.

bro. he should have sign all the documents 1st hand...and leave it to his trustee on his behalf...sometimes if the JPJ is so strict...they wanna see the seller face before they going to proceed with the process to change ownership status...
