Just when you thought we couldn’t get enough Jacky Chan endorsed stuff, Canon has just released their Jacky Chan "Eye Of Dragon (sic)" Special Edition EOS 550D. I guess after growing out and covering his grey hair, working out for a little bit to do battle with the many viruses out there on the internet, he decided he needed a camera to record his shenanigans (in 1080p HD nonetheless).
Included in this limited edition bundle (with only 2010 kit savailable), you’ll be getting a better kit lens (EF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6), gold dragon strap and case, gold dragon leather photo album, and last but not least, just when you think it couldn’t make you look any more gaudy, a gold dragon character on the camera body.
Of course, this camera is released for the China market and is going for RMB 10,000 (RM 4660). For that kind of money, I’d rather just buy one that hasn’t been stamped with the universal sign of Ah beng-ness the gold dragon character and get a better lens. I have no doubts that the 550D is a great camera, but unless this “Eye of Dragon” lets me beat up some bad guys, fly around the air and record it all, I’m sticking to the regular black one thank you very much.
More photos after the jump (If you can stomach them)
