happen to me last week during went to perak tru plus hiway. 1 satria cucuk me when im drove at 180. cant achieve 200 even i push max. satria can cucuk even slow down then spped. cant drive away from staria. tension then let him cucuk la. i just maintaine my speed at 180 until i hear noisy from my engine bay (tat time i felt my car rasa berat then i slow down. after few minutes noisy disappear. I ask to falcon n he told me that noisy come from cvt belt. have to change new cvt oil. Maybe members here have an experience about noisy because of cvt belt?

yes, 308t share the same engine as mini cooper s, but already detuned, coz only 4gear, canot tahan too much power. i not yet have the chance to try it, everyday stuck at traffic jam, top speed until now only 160km/h in kl town. kekeke.
must wait i balik kampung 1st then can try at highway.


for acceleration, 308thp is better, no lag like the cvt. much quiet.
but the auto 4 speed gearbox really a big let down. but no choice lah, naza didnt bring in the diesel 6 speed version. conclusion, 308t actually not a power car yet, boleh tahan saja. if really want power, go for the 308GT, which producing 175 horsepower and 240Nm of torque from just 1,500rpm, with 6speed manual.

one is CKD 308T another one 308GT CBU...one is 4 door(308T)...another one is 2 door(308GT)...

150K for a two door car...go figure la....how much can sell in malaysia...even the neo lotus limited edition(RM115K) oso hard to sell...people prefer to go for a true sport hatch car like the VW Golf GTI...lalalalala...the price is pretty steep for me for a not so hot sport hatch car...lol...or is it just me...

never try, but confirm 308turbo lose lah, cos the engine inside 308 already kena detune to 140hp due to the stupid AL4 gearbox. i think only 308GT can compare with mini cooper s, since both also same 175hp, torque 240nm.

Today when I send my 'other' car to the SC which incidentally also services Peugeot, I asked whether there is any 308T around for servicing. My curiosity got better of me no thanks to all you guys here and I want to have a look.

The SC person thought I was interested in getting one and immediately told me don't. It seems the 308T is plagued with lots of electrical problem and quite troublesome to keep. The SC has a few such cases in their experience. Recommended me other brand.

This is just what was related to me by the SC. Dun shoot me.

beagle...if the guys working in SC mention tis...it should be 80% trustworthy...cuz the other 20% maybe due to he got to went through all the hassle of troubleshooting all the "defect" pugs and got no extra payment for it...kekekeke...jsut my 2 cent...lol....

If you are talking about small Peugeot it must be either
NAZA Bestari 206 1.4 8v, Peugeot 206 1.6 16v or Peugeot 206GTI 2.0 ...

1. Locally assembled by NAZA, Bestari 1.4 8v single cam 5-door - top speed only 160+Km per hour.
2. Peugeot 206 16v twin cam 5-door can hit nearly 200km per hour
3. Peugeot 206 GTI 2.0 [3-door] ... top speed can exceed 230km per hour. Don't Play Play with this pocket rocket.

The latest hatchback from Peugeot is 308.
1. Peugeot 308 VTI 5-door... 1.6 NA prince engine similar to entry level Cooper. Only 120bhp. Top speed about the same as Peugeot 206 1.6 16v
2. Peugeot 308 5-door hatchback Turbo, 140bhp but very punchy 240Nm of torque, very quick acceleration to hit top speed about 210km per hour. Some people who had remapped can hit over 230km per hour.
3. Peugeot 308 GT, 175bhp... similar to cooper S engine... so we can expect similar performance. Again, don't play play.

I read also there are 1.6 Turbo with 156bhp and 200bhp 6-speed manual/Auto will available very soon...

Red Peugeot turbo was so fast, this guy was able to tailoring me in the heavy traffic of Jalan Kemaman Kuantan, i potong dia pun ikut cucuk belakang till a corner tak brani sudah eksiden dulu, so he was able to potong me, then up the jabor highway, we try again...he was doing 200 while my meter is already 190 Km/hr, this guy is really crazy..so far above me...then we went our own separate way at the Aspa cottage round about...just for 1.6T it is amazing doing at 200..maybe above

few weeks back i had the opportunity to 'test' with a red 308turbo at PLUS highway......i only managed to follow behind this car btwn (130-180kmh) but wasnt able to overtake him....same power as LGT in this speed range ....couldnt test higher speeds due to traffic conditions.....not bad for a 1.6cc car
